The Trauma App is an iPad application designed for Major Trauma Care clinicians in a hospital’s Emergency Department (ED) to digitally document patient care.
From Standby through to Discharge, following ATLS protocol, every app interaction is captured in real-time, providing a complete record of ‘events’.

The Trauma App was designed in collaboration with Clinicians who identified a problem and solution to reduce pain-points in clinical workflow. There is a Clinical Steering Group made up of users who continually feed into the apps development and updates.
The App encourages best practice, and offers light decision support, seeking to encourage the clinicians to focus more on patient care whilst capturing real-time contemporaneous data for analysis and research purposes. This approach improves patient care and outcomes.

- The Trauma App is a free download on the iOS Apple Store for iPad. Clinicians can use all the app's functionality in a simulation setting using unidentifiable patient simulation data which is stored locally on the device and can be deleted after the session.
