Information security policies and processes
Premise has established technology and security charters and policies, with standards, guidelines, and processes falling under them. Premise aligns itself to NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF) and maps to other frameworks/certifications such as UK Cyber Essentials, SOC 2 Type 2, and NIST 800-171. There are other frameworks such as ISO 27001, CISA, and CSA CCM which are used as support. Premise also prioritizes security awareness and education, and collaboration with different teams to improve its security posture.

Operational security

Configuration and change management standard
Supplier-defined controls
Configuration and change management approach
Configuration and change management capabilities track the status, location, and configuration of service components and assessment of potential security impacts on the service. This is done by having code security tools when code is committed, vulnerability and infrastructure scanners to catch things in dev/qa, and review cycles to verify components are secure.
Vulnerability management type
Conforms to a recognised standard, for example CSA CCM v3.0 or SSAE-16 / ISAE 3402
Vulnerability management approach
Threats are assessed based off of security tooling, threat intelligence, and pen testing. High severity finding are prioritized and zero-day vulnerabilities are patched immediately. Premise uses information-sharing organizations, threat intel feeds, open source/news, and its security tooling to identify threats and vulnerabilities.
Protective monitoring type
Conforms to a recognised standard, for example CSA CCM v3.0 or SSAE-16 / ISAE 3402
Protective monitoring approach
Google Cloud Platform (GCP) maintains a security monitoring programs that detects and monitors for common vulnerabilities, including cross-site- scripting (XSS), flash injection, mixed content (HTTP and HTTPS), and outdated/insecure libraries. Their process enables early identification and delivery of very low rates of false positives to Premise. Premise uses EndorLabs for code security and SentinelOne for computer AV/EDR to protect against its environment.
Incident management type
Conforms to a recognised standard, for example, CSA CCM v3.0 or ISO/IEC 27035:2011 or SSAE-16 / ISAE 3402
Incident management approach
Premise has an Information Security team and has a documented Incident Response Plan based on industry best practices such as CISA and NIST 800-61 Rev2. The IRP and associated policies define security events vs incidents. Security incidents require a full investigation and are documented with incident reports and after-action plans. Incidents are detected through security tools, identified by threat hunting, or reported by users (via our security intake platform). Premise also has preventative and detection controls to protect against threats and vulnerabilities. Premise utilizes EDR/AV, vulnerability scanners, SIEM, and security configuration tools to help protect its environment.

Fighting climate change

At Premise, we are deeply committed to environmental stewardship and believe in the importance of influencing our staff, suppliers, customers, and communities to support environmental protection and improvement. We actively engage in a variety of initiatives to promote sustainability throughout our operations. This includes implementing eco-friendly practices such as reducing waste, cycling to work, restricting international travel to business critical trips only, and sourcing materials responsibly. We educate our staff on the importance of environmental conservation and encourage them to adopt sustainable behaviours both at work and in their personal lives.

Tackling economic inequality

Premise are dedicated to addressing economic inequality by fostering a diverse and inclusive global workforce. We ensure fair compensation for all employees, regardless of their location, recognising the value each individual brings to our organisation. We actively invest in the development of talent by offering paid internships and apprenticeship/training schemes. These initiatives provide individuals with the skills and opportunities they need to thrive in our high-growth sector. In particular, we are committed to supporting our workforce in Colombia, where we provide specialised training programs tailored to the local context, empowering individuals to excel in their roles and contribute to both their personal growth and the economic prosperity of their communities.

Equal opportunity

We are dedicated to fostering a workplace culture that celebrates and embraces equality, diversity, and inclusion in all aspects of our operations. We believe that embracing our differences enriches our organisation and contributes to our success. Through ongoing education, training, and our Employee Resource Group Program, we aim to create a workplace where diversity is celebrated, and everyone feels respected and supported.
We are committed to providing equal opportunities to all employees, contractors, and applicants for employment, regardless of race, colour, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, genetic information, marital status, citizenship status, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.

Additionally, we provide resources for stress management, encourage regular breaks, and foster an open and supportive culture where employees feel comfortable discussing their concerns with other colleagues, managers, our designated Mental Health First Aiders, and Safety Committee Members.
