How the quality assurance and performance testing works
Q-Solution combine experienced resources and inhouse technology to deliver both test assurance and performance testing. QA might typically involve embedding processes and procedures into an existing delivery model and/or applying QA techniques to more agile deliveries such as code linting within the development/unit test phase. All QA functions are measurable. Performance Testing employs experienced skilled resources where tooling recommendations can be provided or more commonly we adopt our inhouse tools, enabling performance testing within the CI/CD pipeline. Our secure services enable us to perform testing not just within a development environment but across government networks such as the PSN, allowing for 'real world' performance testing to take place.

We host our own set of software testing capabilities within the cloud and connected to the PSN network to support our Managed Testing Service.
Additionally, we provide a hosting platform that allows customers to deploy, test and run their applications within AWS and with all necessary security controls already in place

The infrastructure supporting this service uses a serverless architecture in public cloud with autoscaling. Compute resources such as processor, memory and storage are minimised by automatically scaling down at times of low usage. Hosting the solution in public cloud results in efficiencies as infrastructure is shared across all of the cloud providers customers in that region.

This approach leads to a reduction in power usage and cooling requirements compared with a traditional infrastructure using either physical machines at a data centre, or virtual machines at a cloud provider.

The service also benefits from the progressive environmental sustainability program of the public cloud provider hosting the service, resulting in a positive impact on climate change.
