Operational security

Configuration and change management standard
Supplier-defined controls
Configuration and change management approach
Zeeko has a formal change management process:
- Proposed changes are the responsibility of the development project manager
- Each change is critically evaluated for risk and benefits
- Changes are prioritised based on cost, benefit, risk and alignment with the business strategy
- All changes are systematically tested at development, pre release and regression testing. The deployment includes a roll-back plan to restore live instance to the previous version
Vulnerability management type
Supplier-defined controls
Vulnerability management approach
Zeeko monitors security advisories and alerts from CVE databases (https://cve.mitre.org/cve/). Risks are systematically evaluated based on issues identified during code review and quality assurance testing. Risks are detailed on tasks on the online agile project management software (Zoho Sprints) and assigned an internal risk level. Low and medium level risks are assigned and completed during sprint planning and development cycles. High level risks are rectified as soon as commercially feasible.
Protective monitoring type
Supplier-defined controls
Protective monitoring approach
Abnormal system behaviour (for example RAM/ CPU usages, disk usage, network traffic) is monitored and investigated by the network administrator. If a system is potentially compromised, it is investigated to confirm breaches or false positives. For confirmed breaches a short-term risk mitigation is immediately actioned. After the immediate risk is mitigated a critical analysis is carried out and a long-term mitigation executed if required.
Incident management type
Supplier-defined controls
Incident management approach
Incidents are managed through a detailed security response flow. The response flow includes both short-term and long-term actions that are dependent on risk levels. Incidents can be reported via Customer Support (email, telephone, portal). Reports are provided through Customer Support. The response flow includes:
- Incident identification
- Incident logging
- Incident classification
- Incident prioritisation
- Initial diagnosis
- Escalation, as necessary
- Incident resolution
- Incident closure
- Communication with the user community throughout the life of the incident

Magical Leaders is a 21st century skills entrepreneurship programme for 11-14 year olds. Magical Leaders aligns with the P21 Framework. The P21 Framework is a model for incorporating 21st century skills into learning. It was developed by a coalition of the US Department of Education, businesses including Apple, AOL, Microsoft, Cisco, and SAP. The framework supports the teaching of life and career skills, learning and innovation skills, and information and media skills. These skills allow pupils to be better-prepared for today’s highly collaborative, innovation-focused workforce.

Developing 21st century skills in primary and secondary schools across the United Kingdom will increase the skills level of the future work force to:
1) Take on the challenges and opportunities of new technologies and new ways of doing business.
2) Get better, higher paying jobs.
3) Create opportunities for entrepreneurship.
4) Address skills shortages in the technology sector, a high growth sector.

Magical Leaders is provided on a classroom basis. Teachers are trained via a 1-hour remote training session. These sessions are run weekly after school during term time. The impact is measured in the number of people-hours of learning interventions delivered under the contract, by UK region. Feedback for improvement is sought through an online survey after teachers complete the final lesson.

Zeeko will engage with teachers through free webinars in Opportunities Areas. The Opportunity Areas are part of the government’s plan for dealing with social mobility through education. Opportunity Areas are at the heart of the government’s plan to level up outcomes for children and young people in some of the most disadvantaged areas of the country. Providing 21st Century skills will remove obstacles that could stop children and young people from achieving their potential in some of the most disadvantaged regions in England.
