End-of-contract data extraction
Alteryx does not persist data. Data will not be hosted within the service therefore there is no requirement to extract data when contracts expire.
Data can be stored in a wide variety of data types (CSV, XML, Excel) and databases. Workflows are stored as XML files, and can be viewed using Designer but not edited once the licence has expired.
End-of-contract process
There is no additional cost at the end of the contract. Software becomes locked and the user can open workflows for viewing, but cannot run or edit them.

The service is a tool that allow user to build customised workflows that extract, prepare, manipulate, analyse, visualise and export data in any file format. User are able to build and customise workflows through configurable drag and drop technology. Any trained user with the correct access rights can create custom workflows.

Access restriction depend on client requirements, but can include a range of authentication and control mechanisms as needed. Alteryx allows you to manage permissions on a per user and group basis. Both levels of control allow you to define 4 broad roles that define the activities a user might need based on their level of access. These are described as Curators ( admin level access), Artisans (Can publish, run, and share workflow), Viewers (who can run workflows) and users who explicitly have no access. These roles are applied to specific Areas of Alteryx.

We've partnered with Carbon Intelligence (Accenture) to monitor our carbon footprint for several years, and with their guidance, we've gained insights into our emissions breakdown. It's likely that our emissions are distributed as follows: approximately 3-5% from Scope 1 emissions (direct emissions like those from air conditioning), roughly 20% from Scope 2 emissions (related to electricity consumption in our office spaces), and the majority, around 75%, from Scope 3 emissions, which includes factors like business travel, commuting, and purchased goods and services.
As a remote-first company, we actively promote remote work among our employees and encourage them to minimise travel unless absolutely necessary.
In addition, through our TIL+ program, we've contributed several pro-bono consulting engagements to organisations dedicated to raising awareness about climate change. For instance, we've supported Health In Harmony, a non-profit committed to advancing human health and environmental protection through sustainable healthcare and conservation practices.
