Tackling economic inequality
The coding programmes we support our partners with are linked to funded education pathways whether that be AEB, Advanced Learner Loan, or skills bootcamp funding (National Skills Fund).
This widens participation and enables learners from all economic circumstances to access training in a skills area of high growth and job opportunities.Equal opportunity
Code Institute’s delivery model is fully-online, in addition to increasing training flexibility/accessibility and inclusivity of training it also positively reduces the Carbon footprint of our provision, reducing the impact on air quality and supporting the UK and global ambition for Net Zero. A fully online model reduces paper waste and promotes preservation of trees, reduces transport emissions, leading to clearer air and reduces direct energy consumption through the heating and running of a physical classroom space. A study carried out by the UK’s Open University Design Innovation Group (DIG) concluded that online training consumes nearly 90% less energy than face-to-face lessons.
Whilst not required for any specific contracts Code Institute is committed to achieving net zero and continues to evaluate ways we can further reduce our Carbon footprint. We have a dedicated Carbon reduction plan with ambitious yet realistic reduction targets.
