How we are reducing our carbon footprint
In the past year Cloudshed has managed to reduce its carbon footprint to almost zero and we are committed to reducing this further.
We have moved our operations to over 98% home based working to reduced travel emissions, costs and give back time to our employees.
98% of our training has taken place online for the past 5 years.
100% of our meetings have been remote in the past 3 years, with a new Google Meet first policy to make sure everyone can attend.
Our energy supplier uses 100% renewable energy, and we keep our energy use to a minimum with laptops over desktops as they use less energy and energy efficient lightbulbs when natural light isn’t available.
We use apps such as Google Keep and electric signatures to run a paperless office.
We have no work vehicles.

Cloudshed is a female owned & run business. CloudShed is made up of two female employees and was founded in 2014 when there were fewer women in IT businesses than there is now.
We feel it is very important to encourage women to train and take roles in STEM careers. We hope to help empower women to do this and have been trained to deliver Google’s ‘I am Remarkable’ workshops to empower women and other underrepresented groups to celebrate their achievements in the workplace and beyond.
We attend IT events and when there are few women there, we like to speak to organisers about how we can encourage female attendance in the future.
