The cloud solution we would develop for budgeting and forecasting would use a cloud gateway to retrieve data from the finance system and if necessary write data back to the finance system.; If budgeting and forecasting is currently spreadsheet based, we could still move this to the cloud with the look and feel of Excel. All data would still be held in the cloud.

With budgeting and forecasting, lots of calculations rely on each other so initial unit testing is key. Once the solution is developed, EnterpriseBI will work with buyers to develop exhaustive test scripts to test the solution. Usually these test scripts are related to the requirements drawn up during the requirements gathering phase. Performance is also tested early and often. Best practice is adhered to to ensure no issues later on. Initial unit testing will show that the calculations are performing as they should. Unit testing is then repeated against typical live data volumes to ensure performance. Performanc testing is also built into the testing scripts following development.
