Availability and resilience

Guaranteed availability
We guarantee 99.5% uptime. In the last year, we exceeded 99.9% uptime.
Also note that maintenance, development, tech work and releases do not typically result in downtime.
Approach to resilience
Synthesio employs a mirrored recovery site strategy, this strategy entails the maintenance of spare/backup servers which will enable manual switching between the live site and the backup site for all services, and automatic for those that are load balanced.

Synthesio’s data is stored in geographically diverse, high-security datacenters. Our network and server security systems are designed to be fully redundant with security loops in place to eliminate downtime, to expedite load times, and to minimise latency.

Policies to support resilience include:

• The Disaster Recovery Plan, which delineates policies and procedures for technology disaster recovery, as well as process-level plans for recovering critical technology platforms and the telecommunications infrastructure.

• The Business Continuity Plan, which details procedures to be followed to ensure continuity of the business of Synthesio and to minimize the losses incurred in the event that a critical system or process suffers from a service outage which means that it becomes unavailable, unresponsive or critically damaged, etc.; and to expedite the restoration of normal software management and production capabilities as soon and efficiently as possible.
