Planning

Yes
How the planning service works
We help clients develop communication strategies encouraging adoption and implementation of new technologies and services, as part of digital transformation and change management programmes.

We plan for successful implementation of digital services, increasing adoption and compliance, reducing the support burden.

Previous clients include Rolls Royce, HMRC and the transition to GOV.UK.

For example, we created a communication and content strategy to help Rolls-Royce implement a £10 million customer relationship management (CRM) software system across the organisation.

Adoption from previously-used different platforms and systems was slow and sporadic, causing inefficiencies and inconsistencies and causing damage to relationships, potentially risking trust.

Crocstar provided internal comms support to get buy-in across the different business areas and increase uptake.

We:

- understood the user needs of the different stakeholders
- created a content strategy around CRM release dates and sector activity
- identified key stakeholders across the different business areas
- mapped out comms channels and frequency of communication
- created and distributed content designed to address pain points
- implemented knowledge-sharing processes

The result was that 2,000 Rolls-Royce staff were supported to adopt the new CRM at greater speed.

Training

How the training service works
We’ve trained more than 6,000 people, including 2,500 in how to write for GOV.UK. We’re known for our content design training and can teach anyone - regardless of job title, industry or experience.

We teach people to be better and more confident writers, related to cloud hosting and software services. Courses are tailored to the organisation and include practical elements to embed learning straightaway. Training is delivered online or in-house.

Our training attendees report higher job satisfaction, better outcomes with their content and having more pride in their work. Organisations report an increase in staff skills, team collaboration and lower staff turnover, which contributes to loss of institutional memory and is expensive.

We tailor all exercises in our courses to make them relevant to your organisation. Courses range from content design skills and content strategy to plain english and inclusion training. If you’d like to focus on a particular area, we adjust course content to suit your needs, can add elements from other courses, or will create something completely bespoke for you.

How the support service works
We provide content design, content strategy, comms strategy and training.

Therefore we can support with:
1. Sourcing people to create content for software and services.
2. Developing the strategy for the new service with your team.
3. Training people to use the product, create the content and then develop the change management programme to transition the team to enable the adoption of the software.

We have extensive experience providing ongoing support for organisations and teams doing digital transformation projects.

We can provide content designers to deliver content and training to support the launch of hosting or software services. We can also work with you to provide a comms strategy to enable ongoing support.

Our support is typically developed by assessing the user needs for different stakeholder groups and providing the solution that is most appropriate. Support can be delivered in a variety of formats, for example it may be running an ongoing training programme or responding to ad-hoc technical queries - depending on the needs and budget of the organisation.
