Onboarding and offboarding

Getting started
Onboarding starts with Pair running a session with the customer’s nominated point of contact. The Pair team walks through the platform’s admin features and explains how to manage the account.
Next, learners are added by the organisation’s administrator or by Pair, depending on the agreed setup. When a learner is added, they receive an email invitation sent by the administrator or by Pair. The link lets the end user create an account and access the platform via a browser.
After creating an account, learners log in and begin onboarding. On first sign-in, users follow the Getting Started flow, selecting their preferred AI tool and completing a short personalisation step. This tailors the masterclass experience to their role so content is relevant. Users are then directed to start the Fundamentals course.
From there, learners use the Pair Hub as their starting point. They can review course content, track progress, update personalisation settings, and stay up to date with new releases.
To support adoption, Pair provides user documentation, including a Getting Started Guide with screenshots and step-by-step instructions. This helps organisation administrators troubleshoot common issues. If further support is needed, organisations have a named point of contact at Pair as first-line support.

End-of-contract data extraction
Users extract their data at the end of the contract by submitting a request to PAIR. PAIR will assist the customer with data access and retrieval using appropriate technical and organisational measures. This includes providing copies of any personal data processed on the customer’s behalf on the platform.
End-of-contract process
At the end of the contract customers data is securely erased. There is no additional fee.

We have not yet conducted formal usability testing sessions with end users who rely on assistive technologies. However, accessibility has been embedded into our design and development process from the outset. We test against WCAG 2.2 AA criteria using industry-standard automated tools (such as Lighthouse) alongside structured manual testing, including keyboard-only navigation, screen reader compatibility checks, zoom up to 200%, colour contrast validation, and captioning for video content.

We recognise that testing with users of assistive technology provides insights that automated and internal testing alone cannot fully capture. As such, we consider this an important next step and are committed to undertaking user testing with assistive technology users as part of our ongoing accessibility improvement programme.

User-level personalisation: Every learner can tailor their Masterclass experience to their specific role, industry and individual focus areas. This generates role-specific exercises and personalised feedback.
Organisational-level customisation: Administrators can configure a dedicated tenant environment with: custom URL and branded domain, personalised landing page reflecting organisational branding and priorities, SSO and bespoke authentication arrangements, organisation-specific LLM audit logging and usage reporting and configurable user permissions and access controls.

Approach to resilience
PAIR’s service is designed for resilience using proven public cloud infrastructure and standard platform reliability practices. The platform is hosted on resilient public cloud providers (predominantly Microsoft Azure, with limited use of Google Cloud Platform for specific services) and is built using managed platform services with horizontal autoscaling to handle changes in demand.

Data resilience is provided through multi-region storage replication and managed backup strategies, including regular automated backups and immutable backup copies. Pair proactively load tests the platform, operates continuous monitoring and alerting to detect and respond to degrading performance, and maintains a documented Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery approach.

Resilience and recovery arrangements are regularly reviewed and exercised to ensure the platform can be restored in the event of an incident.

In the event of a confirmed major incident, affected customers are notified promptly via email and in-app messaging, with regular status updates provided until resolution.
