Planning
- Planning service
- Yes
- How the planning service works
- We have a three staged approach. Firstly, we work with customers to agree scope or outcomes. Secondly, we identify constraints within the market or within the client. Furthermore, during this stage we capture the assumptions and dependencies. Thirdly, we begin the planning process of detailing the key activities and resources taking into account the information captured from the first two stages. We will workshop and walk through the plan with the business. We also adopt a 4-eyed process of internal review where we will challenge and rehearse changes of scope / resources to preempt real work scenarios.

- How the quality assurance and performance testing works
-
We are focused on delivering a Quality Assured service. To achieve this our approach follows two paths:
Firstly, with the customer we review the planning approach and report in collaboration with suppliers and customers back to the project. This ensures there are no surprises in the completion of the deliverables.
Secondly, Blue Border partners personally review all deliveries and provide constructive challenge to ensure all eventualities have been explored and any mitigations are robust.
This approach ensures the best in class delivery for the customer.

Fighting climate change
Fighting climate change: Blue Border enforce a paper free workplace, ensuring all communications and activity are conducted via mail/online facilities (teams, zoom etc..) where possible, we also strongly encourage the use of technology as an enabler of achieving net zero greenhouse gas emissions which is why Blue Border have used a hybrid/remote working model for many years. As an organisation we recognise the impact unnecessary travel can have on the environment and achievement of wider environmental goals.Covid-19 recovery
Covid-19 recovery: The ways of working post Covid has had a huge impact on the workplace and social interactions, from our perspective in line with the UK we have come to terms with the need to live with COVID and understand this can be extremely difficult for some, who have or are suffering from COVID-19 and are also anxious for themselves and the vulnerability of others. We continue to support individuals with specific requirements to ensure mental wellbeing and promote a good working environment through a number of different activities, which promote healthy well-being and socialisation wherever safe and possible to do so.
We have adopted a mixture of hybrid and fully remote working for colleagues, to allow those the flexibility of working however they feel best and most comfortable as we understand this allows productivity across our organisation. We also understand the constraints COVID-19 can have across PMO/BAU teams at organisations we currently operate, therefore we ensure we provide the best possible service and provide cover wherever needed and possible to ensure there is no detrimental impact to service due to COVID-19.Tackling economic inequality
Tackling economic inequality: By ensuring our employment focuses on personality we employ individuals across different levels of experience, backgrounds and sectors. We offer training and natural progression to ensure we are always in line with recognised policies, frameworks and training.
As part of our professional services Blue Border has experience and knowledge within the cyber security space, allowing us to deliver effectively whilst minimising risk, both financially and in line with GDPR. Our supply chain experience has enabled us to have a clear and defined understanding of the end to end delivery of a contract.Equal opportunity
Equal opportunity: When we look for individuals to join Blue Border, while they need to have the skills and experience to deliver the outcomes, we do not discriminate. We see diversity as a positive addition to the team since this opens up different perspectives and opportunities for all across Blue Border. We focus on personality and ensure that we focus on the wellbeing of that individual as well as providing the necessary tools and experience for all parts of the Blue Border family to succeed.
We employ individuals across all skill sets and levels of experience, and support internal progression as we invest in our employees through training and support, which also includes full financial support for any training provided to enhance our individual’s skill sets across recognised qualifications.Wellbeing
Wellbeing: Blue Border recognises the importance of positive health, both physical and mental and well-being within the workplace, we are an open workforce where we encourage each other to talk openly about how we are feeling and recognising where support is required, the team is referred to as the Blue Border Family where we openely look out for one another. This can be shown through ongoing consultations between individuals and the Blue Border partners, team days where we look to socialise and support eachothers well-being outside of the office.
Where possible and safe to do so, we encourage socialisation and integration with the PMO/business change teams that we operate in, we find this influences our support networks and communities, our experience of this has positively influenced the contracts that we have worked within.
