Scaling
- Independence of resources
-
SocialComply applies appropriate deployment models based on organisation size and certificate volumes etc based on customers' demand. Larger organisations or those with high processing requirements are deployed on single-tenant infrastructure with dedicated compute, database, and storage resources, providing complete isolation from other workloads. Smaller organisations are deployed on multi-tenant infrastructure with logical data separation, tenant-level rate limiting, and resource quotas to prevent any single customer's activity impacting others.
All deployments include isolated background job queues for certificate processing, API rate limiting per tenant, and auto-scaling infrastructure responsive to demand spikes. Customers can be migrated to single-tenant as their needs grow.

Availability and resilience
- Guaranteed availability
- We target >99% availability of the platform during normal business operations (9:00 - 17:00 Mon-Fri). Whilst we do not have formal SLAs with customers we are prepared to put these in place under Call Off Contracts so that any non-availability during core hours is recorded and reimbursed at the end of each contract year. Detailed mechanism to be specified in call off contract.
- Approach to resilience
-
SocialComply is designed for resilience at both infrastructure and application layers. At the datacentre level, the platform is hosted on major public cloud platforms across multiple availability zones with independent power, networking, and cooling, providing automatic failover. Data is stored with zone/geo redundant replication and backups, protected by the cloud provider security.
At the application layer, SocialComply uses a stateless architecture with auto-scaling, load balancing, and no single point of failure. Circuit breaker patterns protect against cascading failures from external dependencies. - Outage reporting
- Where outages or service degradation happens, we raise email alerts to customers with follow up calls as necessary.

- Configuration and change management standard
- Supplier-defined controls
- Configuration and change management approach
-
Our configuration and change management processes use Infrastructure as Code to ensure all service components are fully defined, version‑controlled, and traceable throughout their lifetime. Infrastructure, application configurations, and environment templates are all maintained in repositories with complete version histories and audit trails, enabling consistent tracking and rollback when required.
Changes are categorised by risk—standard, normal, or emergency—and each undergoes impact assessment, technical review, and appropriate approval. Security implications are evaluated during the request and review stages, ensuring risks, dependencies, and mitigation steps are fully understood before deployment. - Vulnerability management type
- Supplier-defined controls
- Vulnerability management approach
- Our vulnerability management process covers cloud infrastructure, container environments, application code and third‑party dependencies. We assess threats through continuous automated scanning—including image, dependency, static code, dynamic application and infrastructure scanning—as well as secret detection. Penetration testing is performed periodically with retesting of critical issues. Patches are deployed based on severity: critical issues within 24–72 hours, high within 14–30 days, medium within 30–60 days and low in the next scheduled release. Threat intelligence comes from government advisories, vulnerability databases, cloud provider bulletins and dependency ecosystem notifications.
- Protective monitoring type
- Supplier-defined controls
- Protective monitoring approach
- Protective monitoring identifies potential compromises through continuous detection of authentication anomalies, authorisation violations, API abuse, application attacks, infrastructure threats, and configuration drift. Automated alerting runs at all times, with daily and weekly security reviews and periodic threat hunting to spot emerging risks. When a potential compromise is found, alerts are categorised by severity and responded to via escalation, incident tracking, forensic log preservation, and customer notification. Response times are within 4 hours for critical incidents, 8 hours for high, next business day for medium, and weekly for low.
