Talkative provides tiered support services aligned to the service tier selected by the customer, ranging from self-service support through to fully managed enterprise support with bespoke service levels.

At the entry level, customers receive self-service support, which includes access to online documentation, AI-powered webchat, and a remote service desk via our support portal. Higher service tiers include enhanced support, providing access to our client services team through online service desk requests, and scheduled phone or video call support during agreed support hours.

For enterprise customers, Talkative offers enterprise support packages with enhanced service levels, priority response times, and optional on-site, in-person support where required. Enterprise customers may also receive tailored service level agreements.

Support costs are included within the relevant licence pricing and service tier, as detailed in the accompanying pricing document. Additional support packages and bespoke support arrangements are available on request and are priced separately where applicable.

Alongside reactive technical support, Talkative provides proactive support through dedicated technical customer cuccess managers (CSMs) and cloud support engineers. These resources act as technical points of contact, helping customers optimise configuration, adopt new features, and maximise value from their Talkative subscription while ensuring the platform remains available, secure, and fully operational.

Onboarding and offboarding

Getting started
Talkative provides a guided onboarding process to ensure a quick time to value for our AI solutions.

All customers have access to the Talkative Support Portal, which provides comprehensive online documentation, step-by-step setup guides, configuration walkthroughs, FAQs, and best-practice advice. This allows users to self-serve at their own pace and supports ongoing learning after go-live.

We also provide the option for online training sessions delivered by our product and solutions specialists. These sessions can cover platform setup, integrations, user management, security controls, and day-to-day operation, with opportunities for questions and hands-on guidance.

We are able deliver onsite training for teams that prefer face-to-face support, including workshops for operational users, administrators, and technical teams. Onsite sessions can be aligned to specific service use cases and internal processes.

All onboarding packages are bespoke and designed to align with your specific use case and existing teams and processes in mind.

End-of-contract data extraction
When a contract ends, users have various options to extract their data. The platform provides built-in functionalities and tools to facilitate a smooth transition and ensure data portability.

Data exports are possible through a variety of methods including file downloads and using APIs to export structured data to various third party tools. This approach offers greater flexibility and allows for the extraction of large volumes of data.

It's important to note that data extraction should be planned and executed in collaboration with your account management team and in accordance with any contractual obligations and data privacy regulations.
End-of-contract process
At the end of the contract term, Talkative user licences expire and users will no longer be able to access the Talkative platform or log in to the system.

The expiry of user licences does not result in automatic data deletion. Customer data is retained in accordance with the data storage and retention provisions agreed within the contract, allowing organisations to meet their governance and compliance requirements.

Prior to licence expiry, customers may export their data. The Talkative account team will work with customers to support and facilitate data exports, ensuring information can be retrieved in a usable format before access ends.

The contract price includes access to the Talkative platform, licensed users, standard support, and platform maintenance for the agreed term. Any onboarding, training, or support services explicitly included in the contract are also covered within this price.

Additional costs apply where customers choose to extend or renew user licence agreements. Extensions or renewals allow continued access to the platform, access to retained data, or ongoing use of specific features or parts of the service beyond the original contract term.

Talkative is primarily designed for desktop use, reflecting the complexity of the service and typical operational use cases. The desktop interface provides full access to configuration, administration, and day-to-day management features. The service is accessible on mobile devices via responsive web interfaces, allowing users to view and interact with key information. In addition, mobile applications are available for specific functionality, such as agent client access, enabling users to handle conversations while away from a desktop.

User support accessibility
None or don’t know
Description of service interface
Talkative is accessed through a secure, browser-based service interface that requires no local installation. Users interact with the platform via web dashboards for administration, configuration, reporting, and day-to-day service management. Operational users, such as agents, access dedicated interfaces to manage conversations across supported channels. The service also provides system-to-system interfaces through secure APIs and webhooks, enabling integration with third-party platforms and internal systems. Mobile access is supported through responsive web interfaces and dedicated applications for specific use cases.
Accessibility standards
None or don’t know
Description of accessibility
Talkative is accessible via a secure, browser-based interface that does not require local software installation. Users can access the service using standard web browsers on desktop and supported mobile devices. Access is controlled through role-based permissions, ensuring users can only view or perform actions appropriate to their role. For example, administrators can configure settings, manage users, and access reporting, while operational users can handle conversations and day-to-day activities. Users cannot access restricted administrative functions or customer data unless explicitly authorised.
Accessibility testing
Talkative has carried out practical interface testing focused on improving accessibility for contact centre agents using assistive technology. This includes testing with common browser-based accessibility tools such as screen readers, keyboard navigation, zoom and contrast controls, and built-in operating system accessibility features. Feedback from real users is used to identify and address usability issues, helping ensure key workflows can be completed without reliance on a mouse or visual cues alone. Accessibility considerations are reviewed as part of ongoing interface improvements and product development.
API
Yes
What users can and can't do using the API
Talkative provides APIs that allow users to securely access and integrate service data with third-party systems. The API is primarily designed for retrieving interaction data, enabling users to export conversation records, metadata, and outcomes for reporting, analytics, and downstream processing.

Users can set up API access by generating API credentials within the Talkative platform and configuring authentication for authorised systems. Through the API, users can retrieve interaction data in a structured format and automate regular data exports into tools such as BI platforms, CRMs, or data warehouses.

The API supports read-only access to interaction data. Users cannot use the API to configure core service settings, manage users, or change platform behaviour. Service setup, configuration changes, and administrative actions must be completed through the Talkative management interface to ensure security, validation, and governance controls are applied.

These limitations help protect platform integrity while still providing flexible access to data for integration and reporting use cases.

Customisation available
Yes
Description of customisation
Talkative allows users to customise the service to meet their operational, branding, and integration requirements.

Customers can customise a range of elements including user roles and permissions, conversation routing and workflows, channel configuration, automated responses, reporting views, and integration settings. User-facing components such as chat widgets and messaging interfaces can also be customised to align with organisational branding and service needs.

Customisation is completed through the Talkative management interface using configuration tools and settings, without the need for code in most cases. Where deeper integration or automation is required, authorised users can customise data flows using APIs and webhooks.

Customisation permissions are controlled through role-based access. Administrators and authorised technical users can configure and manage settings, while operational users are limited to day-to-day usage and cannot change system-level configurations. This ensures flexibility while maintaining governance and security controls.

Scaling

Independence of resources
Talkative ensures users are not affected by demand from other customers through a combination of cloud infrastructure controls and active monitoring. We use load balancing and dynamic resource allocation to distribute workloads effectively across our cloud server resources, preventing performance degradation during periods of high usage. Our multi-tenant architecture logically separates each organisation’s data and processes, ensuring that one customer’s activity cannot impact another’s service performance or data integrity. Platform performance is continuously monitored in real time, allowing us to proactively scale resources and maintain consistent, reliable service levels as demand changes.

Availability and resilience

Guaranteed availability
Talkative provides a minimum service availability SLA of 99.9% uptime, supported by a strong history of reliable, high-performance platform delivery. Availability is measured in line with clearly defined service metrics to ensure transparency and consistency.

As part of the contract and onboarding process, we work with customers to understand any specific availability requirements. Where appropriate, we agree a service credit model to apply in the unlikely event that agreed SLAs are not met.

Any service credit arrangements are documented within a signed agreement and clearly set out the available credit levels, refund or credit terms, and the conditions that must be met for a valid claim. This ensures customers have clarity on how availability commitments are managed and enforced.

It is important to note that certain factors may be excluded from uptime calculations and service credit eligibility. These typically include scheduled maintenance, customer configuration or user errors, and external events or dependencies outside of Talkative’s reasonable control.
Approach to resilience
Talkative’s platform is designed with resilience, availability, and asset protection in mind, with a proven track record of strong and consistent performance.

We use a multi-tenant architecture that logically separates each customer’s data and processes. This ensures that issues affecting one organisation cannot impact others and helps prevent single points of failure within the service.

Availability is further supported through load balancing across our cloud server resources, distributing traffic efficiently to maintain performance during periods of increased demand. Automatic failover mechanisms are in place to support service continuity in the event of infrastructure issues.

In addition, Talkative operates robust security policies and operational processes that underpin platform resilience. Detailed information on our data centre setup, failover design, and security controls is available on request and can be discussed as part of the sales and assurance process.

We proactively monitor platform performance and security, enabling us to identify potential issues early and scale infrastructure as required to prevent customer impact.
Outage reporting
Talkative reports service outages through clear, timely, and transparent communication channels.

The primary mechanism is our public status page, which provides real-time information on the operational status of all Talkative services. This includes advance notice of planned maintenance, live incident updates, and a log of resolved issues for visibility and audit purposes.

In the unlikely event of an outage, the status page is updated with details of the affected services, the scope of impact, and the estimated time to resolution. Regular updates are published throughout the incident until full service is restored.

In addition, email notifications are sent to administrators or designated customer contacts to communicate service disruption, incident updates, or upcoming planned maintenance.

Where an issue has customer impact, the Talkative account team will proactively engage with affected customers. They provide context on the incident, direct users to the latest status updates, and respond to any questions to ensure clear and consistent communication throughout the incident lifecycle.

Multi-factor authentication is enforced to add an extra layer of protection. All activity across the platform and support channels is logged and continuously monitored to detect suspicious or unauthorised behaviour. Regular access reviews and security audits are carried out to ensure permissions remain appropriate and security controls remain effective.
