Audited & certified datacentres to ISO 27001, security and privacy policies and controls are aligned with ISO 27001 and ISO 27018. BlueJeans employs a wide range of security management practices to provide a secure and reliable
service to customers. This includes network firewalls throughout the infrastructure to create security
zones for different applications and services. BlueJeans also deploys proxy servers that terminate all
3rd party / customer traffic at a proxy layer. All web traffic passes through industry-leading load balancers
to protect against a suite of application attack vectors.
Beyond the firewall, proxy servers and load balancers, BlueJeans also periodically scans for network,
port, and application-level vulnerabilities. Vulnerability scans are conducted by a leading 3rd party
SaaS provider, in addition to some special-purpose, in-house scanning tools. Furthermore, all of the
3rd party applications and operating system software is checked for security advisories and is patched
periodically.
Routers, firewalls, load balancers, and proxy application servers are all configured to mitigate numerous
types of DOS attacks. BlueJeans also engages with 3rd party consultants to perform penetration testing
of the service. All of their findings are reviewed and appropriate actions are then taken to address and
mitigate vulnerabilities found in the service.

Fighting climate change

Fighting climate change

One of the most significant impacts we as individuals and companies have on the environment is our carbon footprint, the average adult commuted roughly 15 miles per day. According to the US EPA Green Vehicle Guide, the average car creates 0.79 pounds CO2 emissions per mile, therefore embracing hybrid working along with reducing unnecessary travel for meeting which can be held over video we could be saving 11.85 pounds of carbon emissions! These savings don’t stop at individuals—if business leaders encourage all their employees work from home, a midsize business could be seeing savings of 3555 pounds of CO2 emissions.

BlueJeans have made it easier for business to track your company’s carbon footprint when it comes to video conferencing vs. commuting? Just ask your BlueJeans admin! BlueJeans Command Center allows admins to track how much carbon emissions their company is savings for every meeting.
Covid-19 recovery

Covid-19 recovery

It goes without saying that these are unprecedented times. Regardless of location, people across the globe are confronting COVID-19 and adjusting their lives accordingly.

As a global video conferencing provider in use in over 180 countries, BlueJeans has a unique vantage point to observe how quickly employees have shifted from working in offices to working from home, and from teaching in classrooms to distance learning.

As more organizations adopt work-from-home policies, we have also observed some interesting behaviors compared to pre-outbreak benchmarks. For example, utilization of the BlueJeans Virtual Whiteboard feature is up 284% week-over-week (from the week of March 2, 2020 to the week of March 9, 2020). Workers are attempting to simulate their in-office conference room experience by using this feature to more easily facilitate remote collaboration. Additionally, private in-meeting chat is up 116%, suggesting that teams miss the informal and ad-hoc chatter frequently found in the hallways of an office and are looking for new approaches to remaining in contact with colleagues during this period of isolation.

At BlueJeans, our priority is to support our customers and communities during this difficult period with reliable, enterprise-grade video conferencing that helps people stay connected and productive.

we have made and will continue to make significant investments in our infrastructure to ensure business continuity. We will continue to track utilization and share this data as a means of providing visibility
Tackling economic inequality

Tackling economic inequality

This enables all users to access the system to support home working and meeting equality. it allows users to attend training or lecturers/ teachers continue with an element of remote learning.
Equal opportunity

Equal opportunity

The topic of equity and equality in the workplace (or the lack thereof) has been a hot debate in recent years—especially in the technology sector. While many companies are have made strides in their effort to create a more diverse and inclusive workplace, research shows there is still much to

BlueJeans recently partnered with Hugo to release a study on the topic of gender equity in tech. Conducted by Advancing Women in Product (AWIP), the survey comprised of 580 respondents highlighted the following key findings:

- 25% of women felt that their voices were at least sometimes subdued at all in meetings.

- Only 10% of men reported that their voices were sometimes subdued.

- 20% of all respondents felt that their voices were actively subdued in meetings—of those, all identified as Asian, Black or African American, Latinx, or Mixed Race.

- 26% of respondents said that gender differences exist in their work environment, but they don’t complain.

- Furthermore, 57% more women and non-binary people agreed with this statement than men—signifying that women and non-binary people

This report highlights the fact that not everyone has the same challenges and obstacles in the workplace. By using workplace tools to neutralize the impact of in-person meetings tech companies can ensure that more women get an equal opportunity to move ahead in their careers.

At BlueJeans, we recognize the importance of tools like ours in helping people better connect and get business done as effectively as possible—wherever that work is coming from—meaning companies no longer need to be bound by geographic limitations when building out and growing their workforce.
Wellbeing

Improved work-life well-being. With the flexibility in the hybrid model, employees can choose when to work and when to focus on personal things. This helps the employee find balance and avoid leaning on one side. It gives employees more control over what they do and ensures they do it well to achieve maximum results.

Since your employees may not be in the office throughout the day, you need to create a clear communication channel that keeps you connected. Determine the most effective and quickly accessible communication channels to reach out to all your employees.
