Setup and migration

Setup or migration service available
Yes
How the setup or migration service works
Engage has extensive experience and pedigree in support to the migration of data from legacy systems to new services; materiel account rectification and all post-migration activities including resolving data exceptions. Engage consultants have vast experience of data migration and ensure that 100% of data migrates from source to future solution. This is achieved by:

• Analysing and understanding the application architecture and data being migrated.

• Reviewing all business and technical documentation.

• Categorising each data element.

• Confirming the list of values used by specific data fields.

• Identifying what data cleansing may be required and how it should be achieved.

• Defining data defaults to ensure that data can be 100% migrated successfully.

• Carrying out gap analysis to identify what data may not be available from the source systems(s) that will be required by the future solution.

• Guaranteeing data integrity by developing migration scripts and data reports to perform an audit of what went into the migration and what came out of the process, highlighting any changes.

Implementing this approach ensures data is fully migrated from any legacy/source system(s) to the future solution, creating an audit trail of what happened when all data is successfully migrated.

Quality assurance and performance testing

Quality assurance and performance testing service
Yes
How the quality assurance and performance testing works
Engage has a long history of delivery with excellence and applying quality assurance processes to enable product quality and service integrity. Our test experts have devised testing strategies, test plans and test scripts for legacy systems such as BIWMS and also future cloud based logistic information systems such as DEEAMS.
We can provide a full end to end service to devise the test strategy appropriate to the service and information ecosystem that your service operates within. From here we devise an appropriate test plan with associated test scripts to include non-functional and regression testing as required. We engage with all stakeholders to ensure that the user experience elements are appropriately captured and translated into suitable tests. Our test managers can also provide your team with the expertise to manage your suppliers and provide you with the confidence that they are delivering what you need.
We have also developed a data quality (DQ) service to enable the migration of data from legacy to future services. We leverage open-source cloud services to provide a framework to develop DQ rules that enable real-time data quality processes for legacy data export to seed the new systems.

Additionally, we are committed to partnering with suppliers who share our commitment to environmental responsibility.
We empower our employees to contribute to our efforts in fighting climate change. Furthermore, we recognise the importance of supporting initiatives that address climate-related challenges within our community. Through our engagement with local organisations and charities focused on environmental conservation, we aim to be proactive in our contribution to a more sustainable future for generations to come.

Covid-19 recovery

At Engage, we stand committed to fostering a supportive and resilient community in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. Through our thoughtful implementation and ongoing operation of a hybrid / smart working policy, we empower individuals to thrive in a flexible work environment, blending remote and office-based work seamlessly. We recognise that every individual's circumstances are unique, which is why we extend a travel allowance to all employees, regardless of their working location, ensuring equitable support for all. Moreover, we prioritise the holistic well-being of our team members by offering an Employee Assistance Program, encompassing both physical and mental health support. By championing these initiatives, we reaffirm our dedication to promoting a culture of inclusivity, adaptability, and unwavering support for our employees as we navigate the path to recovery together.

Tackling economic inequality

We recognise that economic inequality undermines the fabric of society and impedes progress. Therefore, we are committed to addressing this challenge through our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) policy. We believe that by fostering a culture of meritocracy and equal opportunity within our workforce, we can contribute to narrowing the wealth gap.
Our commitment to providing fair wages, continuous training, and opportunities for advancement ensures that all employees, regardless of background, have the chance to thrive. Engage is also an Employee Ownership Trust (EOT) where all members benefit from financial reward equally based on company performance and time served within the organisation. Furthermore, we actively seek to engage with diverse suppliers who share our values of fair employment practices. By promoting inclusivity and fairness at every level of our operations, we strive to be a catalyst for positive change in the fight against economic inequality.

Equal opportunity

At Engage, we believe that fostering a diverse, inclusive, and equitable work environment is essential for the prosperity of our business and the communities we serve. We are committed to ensuring that all individuals have equal access to opportunities and are treated with respect and fairness.
We are dedicated to building a workforce that reflects the diversity of our clients and the communities in which we operate. This includes actively recruiting and retaining individuals from underrepresented groups, providing inclusive training and development programs, and creating a work culture that celebrates and values diverse perspectives and experiences.
We are committed to implementing fair and transparent employment practices that are free from discrimination and bias. This includes offering competitive wages and providing equal opportunities for advancement and professional development.
Recognising the systemic barriers that many individuals face, we actively work to empower underrepresented groups within our organisation. This may include in providing mentorship, skills training, and career development opportunities.
We are dedicated to creating a work environment that is free from harassment, discrimination, and any form of unethical behaviours. We have established clear policies and procedures to address and resolve any issues, and we will provide ongoing training and support to ensure that all employees understand their rights and responsibilities in maintaining a respectful and inclusive workplace.
To ensure the effectiveness of our equal opportunity initiatives, we have established robust metrics and reporting mechanisms. We regularly assess the diversity and inclusion of our workforce to identify areas for improvement.

Wellbeing

We prioritise the wellbeing and development of our employees through our comprehensive wellbeing program. Central to this program is our Employee Assistance Program (EAP), providing confidential support and resources to address personal and professional challenges. Additionally, our mentoring scheme fosters growth and collaboration by pairing experienced mentors with mentees seeking guidance and development opportunities. Furthermore, we utilise 'Matter,' a dynamic platform designed to promote teamwork, cohesion, and positive feedback across our team. Through 'Matter,' employees can recognise and celebrate each other's achievements, fostering a culture of appreciation and support. This platform not only strengthens relationships within our workforce but also cultivates a sense of belonging and unity.
