Defence Cyber Certification

This service assists Ministry of Defence (MoD) suppliers in achieving and maintaining compliance with the Cyber Security Model (CSM) version 4 and Defence Standard 05-138. It provides independent verification of an organisation's cyber resilience, replacing the traditional Supplier Assurance Questionnaire (SAQ) with a single, three-year certification.

Features

  • Detailed assessment against DCC levels (Level 0 and Level 1)
  • Guidance on compiling auditable, organisation-wide compliance to DCC
  • Support for obtaining Cyber Essentials (required for DCC Levels 0-1)
  • Managed support for annual check-ins and three-year re-certification cycle.

Benefits

  • DCC provides a single, organisation-wide assurance
  • DCC controls (aligned with Def Stan 05-138)
  • DCC certified suppliers signal a higher level of cyber maturity
  • DCC aligns with the MoD’s goal of end-to-end security

Service scope

Service constraints
Unlike Cyber Essentials, where specific sub-sections of an organisation can sometimes be carved out, DCC generally requires an organisation-wide assessment of all critical business operations essential for delivery.
Certification cannot be granted without active, foundational certificates. Levels 0 and 1 require valid Cyber Essentials.
