Fighting climate change
As an application, Verto 365 tracks Net zero and carbon footprint projects and programmes for thousands of users across the UK public sector. One of our largest users is DESNEZ.
As a business, while we do not have a large carbon footprint, we plan to be net carbon zero prior to 2030; through initiatives such as:
Our hosting partner (Microsoft Azure) has been 100 percent carbon neutral since 2012.
A 2018 study found that using the Microsoft Azure cloud platform can be up to 93 percent more energy efficient and up to 98 percent more carbon efficient than on-premises solutions.
Since April 2020 TMI Systems have been a 100% Remote based company. We therefore have no staff commuting on a daily basis and do not have the carbon overhead of maintaining an office location.
We encourage our staff to use energy-efficient solutions at home such as light bulbs and power strips, as well as turning off electronics when not in use.
Where staff do meet in-person (internally or with clients), we use public transport wherever possible to further reduce our carbon footprint
We also plan to offset 15,000kg of carbon emissions in 2024, to take our home working environment to net zero.Covid-19 recovery
Like most organisations, the pandemic forced us to move our staff to a home and remote working environment. It also enabled us to develop the Verto 365 application to support all our UK public sector users that required remote access to complete their day to day work on tasks and projects. We've been able to support this further by fully embedding Verto 365 into Microsoft Teams and making it available to all Teams users as a Microsoft Application. We've created a simple, self-serve solution called Workspaces, which users can access immediately and use free of charge.Tackling economic inequality
Verto 365 is used by hundreds of organisations and government departments to support their work management, project management and collaboration. We're helping to deliver Digital transformation and increased productivity right across the UK public sector.
We enable Verto 365 to be both scaleable and future proof through continuous development and by deploying it across the Microsoft Teams platform as well as via a browser.Equal opportunity
We already have an online training platform that delivers training to all staff, with mandatory training to be completed on a regular basis. We have a programme for equality, diversity, and inclusion training, which includes courses such as:
Diversity, Equality and Inclusion in the Workplace
Inclusion and Diversity: A Checklist
Differences make a Difference
