a) to validate ‘the problem we are trying to solve’

c) ensure the discovery scope is articulating a problem, and is not a solution, or a solution looking for a problem

The outcome of discovery provides the evidence and detail to backup the decision to move to Alpha and develop a service or product further. This could also include a recommendation not to proceed. The smart/tasking team is structured to ensure the highest degrees of success and could include Data Scientists, Project Managers, DevOps specialists etc.

Agile delivery practices are used to closely control the delivery. Assigned product owners lead the requirements by agreeing the criteria for success. Sprint based delivery helps to control the risks and deliver business value early. Sprints also provide an opportunity for the product owner to steer, pivot or stop the delivery.
In adopting agile delivery methods, a range of quality management practices ensure that products & outcomes are delivered to defined and agrees standards. Products developed using agile techniques are create incrementally, so quality and performance are continuously evaluated during each iteration.
Another important practice is the sprint and final delivery retrospective meetings, where 360 degree feedback provides feedback and information to inform performance and continuous improvement.
In addition, metrics tracking key delivery data provide insights for exception reporting and performance management.

As a business we operate a 4-year IT refresh programme, and currently have a number of laptops and PC Monitors that we can make immediately available to a local charities. We have already reached out to South West Surrey Domestic Abuse Service https://www.swsda.org.uk/ to enquire about how we can assist via the Donation of ICT equipment.

Future Charity Engagement:

To enable our ICT equipment to be donated to local charities, we have engaged with our IT Service Delivery provider and set a target date of 31st December 2023 to get all ICT equipment over 4 years old into a state where it may be donated to our local center.
