We do not operate publicly defined support tiers. Instead, support arrangements, response times, and escalation routes are set out in customer contracts.

In other words, the people who have administrative rights within your organization can customize the service to align perfectly with your needs.
This flexibility ensures that each organization can adapt the platform to their unique requirements, making the background screening process as efficient and relevant as possible.

Availability and resilience
- Guaranteed availability
-
First Advantage delivers its background screening service using resilient, enterprise-grade cloud infrastructure designed to support high availability and continuity of service. The platform incorporates redundancy, monitoring and fault-tolerant components to minimise disruption and is monitored continuously to detect and respond to issues promptly.
The service is intended to be available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, excluding scheduled maintenance. Planned maintenance is communicated in advance where possible and scheduled to minimise customer impact. Unplanned incidents are managed through established incident management processes, including investigation, remediation and customer communication in line with support arrangements.
Where guaranteed availability levels are defined contractually and are not met, service credits or refunds may apply, in accordance with the agreed contract terms. Service credits are typically applied as a proportionate reduction against future invoices rather than direct financial compensation. The specific credit mechanism, thresholds and calculation method are set out in the customer contract or service schedule.
This approach ensures transparency, accountability and fair treatment for customers while maintaining service reliability, security and regulatory compliance. - Approach to resilience
-
First Advantage’s service is designed to be resilient and to protect customer assets against loss, failure and disruption. The service is delivered using enterprise-grade cloud infrastructure with built-in redundancy across critical components, including compute, storage and network services. This reduces single points of failure and supports continuity of service in the event of component or infrastructure issues.
The platform is monitored continuously to detect performance degradation or incidents, with automated alerts and response procedures in place. Backup and recovery processes are implemented to protect customer data and support restoration in the event of data corruption or service disruption, in line with contractual and regulatory requirements.
Capacity management and scaling controls are used to ensure the service can continue to operate effectively as demand changes, helping to prevent performance issues caused by spikes in usage. Incident management processes are in place to ensure timely investigation, remediation and communication with customers.
Further technical details relating to resilience controls, recovery objectives and infrastructure design are available on request where disclosure is restricted for security reasons. - Outage reporting
-
First Advantage has established processes to ensure customers are informed promptly and clearly about service outages or significant incidents. Where an unplanned service disruption occurs, notifications are issued via email alerts to nominated customer contacts. These communications include details of the incident, its impact on service availability, and progress updates as remediation actions are taken. A final notification is provided once service has been restored.
There is no publicly accessible status dashboard or outage reporting API. Outage communication is managed directly with affected customers to ensure information is accurate, relevant and proportionate, and to avoid the disclosure of sensitive operational details.
For planned maintenance that may impact availability, customers are notified in advance where possible, typically via email or service communications, to allow them to prepare and minimise disruption to their operations.
Internally, incidents are logged, tracked and reviewed as part of First Advantage’s incident management and service improvement processes. This approach ensures transparency with customers while maintaining appropriate security controls and alignment with the UK Government’s Cloud Security Principle on asset protection and resilience.
