Knowledge transfer, covering the principles underlying the tool-chain, how it is assembled, how it operates, the maintenance activities that will be required and how to approach maintenance will be planned into the main delivery of a service.
Classroom style training, scoped on a case by case basis, will be available for end-users of the tool-chain, the people using it to prepare and execute test cases.

Successful test automation is a complex demanding domain. Tools in isolation and without appropriate technical and procedural wraps offer limited value. Many test automation initiatives fail or consume time and resource without providing real benefit. A test automation solution has to be designed and implemented as a project. A key aspect of this is implementing a wrap around the tool to make it effective in a particular environment.
Our service is built on many years of experience applying different automation tools in complex, varied, situations. Out of this has developed a comprehensive understanding of how best to apply tools and of the wider technical wrap that has to be built around the core tool(s). Once engaged, the environment within which automation is to be used and the objectives to be achieved from using it will be assessed. Requirements for customisation, configuration and wider technical wraps will be identified and prioritised. Activities will then be undertaken to meet these requirements, delivering to the end-user organisation a fully operational and sustainable tool chain.
