Setup and migration

Setup or migration service available
Yes
How the setup or migration service works
Government and Corporate environments typically have their own datacentre(s), which includes all of the infrastructure, cabling, racks, IT servers, switches, routers, UPS and data storage hardware. To migrate away from owning your IT equipment - which typically has a CAPEX associated with it - to a Cloud environment - which is typically OPEX - you must be able to securely manage your IT hardware in the existing Datacentre, before you can migrate to the managed Cloud environment. Greensafe offer a complete total cost of ownership package for Datacentre migration. This is generally cost neutral or better for the client, whilst providing the data security and sanitisation required, with one of the most comprehensive set of ITAD WEEE accreditations and certifications available in the UK. Our service offering of onsite or offsite data wiping and destruction, along with collection, refurbishment, remarketing and recycling services, creates the best total cost of ownership available in the UK. We also offer corporate social responsibility programs, carbon offset and charitable giving, whilst making sure our internal processes offer a 0% landfill policy and cardboard/packaging recycling system. With our services, migration from Datacentre to Cloud can take place in a secure and cost effective managed environment.

How the quality assurance and performance testing works
Greensafe provide full project management capability using PMM - Project Management Methodology. We are also compliant with the risk assessment code of practice, which we comply with before a project starts and continue throughout the program. This is done in conjunction with the client representative. We also provide quality assurance processes and are ISO 9001:2008 certified. In addition our security and people processes are certified as below:-
HMG IA Standard No.5 – Secure Sanitisation Compliant
Compliant with HMG Security Policy Framework
Compliant and Registered with Data Protection Act 1998
Blancco – Accredited Partner for Data Wiping
Compliant with BS 31100:2011 - Risk Management – Code of Practice and Guidance
Greensafe offers a free performance test on any new project or program, with all of the above risk assessments and quality assurance in place, to confirm that we meet the required standard. Once the project is underway, the assigned project manager will be onsite as required by the client, to manage issues and avert quality and risk factors before they arise. Escalation to the assigned Account Director or Managing Director, will be available on request throughout the duration of the project.

Fighting climate change

Greensafe’s service offering is best placed, due to its secure and compliant solutions, backed up by a sustainable and green-minded approach.

Greensafe are proud to hold ISO140001 and are one of the most certified ITADs in the UK today. As a Carbon Neutral organisation, we immerse ourselves in various offsetting projects; such as tree planting, wind farms and solar energy.

We are committed to reducing the impact of our current operations by managing our energy and resource consumption. We utilise green final mile courier services and are looking to move to an electric fleet as part of pathway to Net Zero. We are retrofitting LED lighting throughout all warehouses and offices and all of our electricity is from renewable sources.

We utilise sustainable packaging throughout the operation. Our new refurb boxes utilise 20% less material. All board is FSC certified. 76% of the raw material used is recycled fibre; the remaining 24% is sustainably sourced. All boxes are sustainably produced. All boxes are renewable, recyclable and biodegradable. All inks and varnishes used are water based to better-protect the environment.

Greensafe have pledged support of the Sustainable Development Goals. We have aligned our commitment with our CSR campaign and have chosen six goals to give focus to (gender equality, decent work and economic growth, reduced inequalities, responsible consumption and production, climate action and partnerships for the goals). Our ambition is to encourage further commitment and awareness amongst our service partners and suppliers, as well as progress and align our own achievements.

In 2022 we established our partnership with Lyra in Africa, a charity based in rural Tanzania. We filled and shipped a container to Tanzania, in order to help in the set-up of a new school for underprivileged girls, as well as to utilise in the training of teaching staff.

Equal opportunity

Greensafe are based in an ethnically diverse community and therefore we have a degree of diversity in our workforce. Whilst we do not operate positive discrimination, you will find that we have people of all backgrounds working up to senior management level across the business. The business is now starting to review how we can include disabled colleagues in suitable positions throughout the business. We have a duty of care to make sure that the roles are suitable for each person, not putting them in positions of danger, as many of our roles are manual and warehouse based. This is ongoing and will increase further as we develop our HR policies. To this end we have just employed an HR manager specialising in these particular areas and as we continue to grow it will open up opportunity in the office based roles that are more suitable for disabled members of staff
As Greensafe grow, we enhance our internal processes and procedures, constantly striving to increase equal opportunity across all levels of the business. We recently purchased a new Warehouse and IT Operations site, the opportunities for new and more interesting roles continue a pace and these roles will be offered out to the existing staff, anybody can apply and we will provide suitable training to help, keep equal opportunity growing

Wellbeing

Greensafe are very conscious that staff are crucial to the growth and profitability of the Company, without them the Company will find it difficult to deliver. We need to make sure our staff can thrive in a busy working environment, where stress can be prevalent. To that end we have setup a series of training courses to run through such topics as Menopause and the workplace, dealing with sickness and return to work, dealing with change, working with teams and individuals etc. Additionally we have a number of work events throughout the year that all can attend, we have a golf society for example that is subsidised. We are running Yoga classes after work, we encourage people to go for walks at break times. The Managers also have monthly 121's with their teams to make sure that any issues are resolved quickly, additional training and support given. As with all things we can do more and that is where our HR department are constantly innovating, to keep the staff happy and healthy. As the business grows, we have to grow our Ethical, Equal Opportunity and Wellbeing programs, we have to consider the workplace as an integral part of an employees life and they need it to be a safe and nurturing environment. Our HR teams is also growing and it will focus efforts on staff wellbeing, so that the business can also deliver for its customers. We treat our employees as valuable assets and in turn they work hard for us, knowing that we consider their welfare
