- How the planning service works
-
There are many types of planning that we provide, subject to what the customer needs, and which phase of the projects they're in.
If it's very early then our User Researchers can be introduced. In general our very experienced business analysts, and any needed Domain Specialists who know that particular domain inside out, in order to influence the business analyst and/or the customer.
Our solution architects, or similar, can be introduced in to tie business requirements through to technical architecture and systems design. We have many different type of architects that add significant value to the planning phase, either Infrastructure/DevOps cloud architects, technical architects, data architects, security/cyber architects, as well as all rounded solutions architects.
Our architects collaborate with our Developers/Engineers to turn agreed systems/solutions design into real world cloud hosting or software solutions.
In regards to cloud hosting, we specialise in not only Public Cloud such as AWS/Azure/Google Cloud, but also on-prem solutions too such as OpenShift and similar. - Planning service works with specific services

We assist customers in migrating from on-prem to cloud solutions by investing a good amount of time in the evaluating and planning phase. In our 15+ years of specializing in prem-to-cloud migraitons, specifically with UK Gov projects (i.e: DVSA, MOJ) we've learned that this phase is crucial for identifying what, if any, challenges or incompatibilites exist, upfront.
We also assess thigns like proprietary technology, licensing, system and infrastructure architecture, as well as existing software and hardware aspects of the current platform. This evaluation informs the new system architecture and Migration Strategy, which encompasses budget, personnel, technical decisions.
The Migration Strategy contains when and how we will perform the migration. We focus on areas for Transitional Change, as opposed to Transformative Change ("Big Bang approach") to minimize disruption. Transitional Change is also known as the Strangler Pattern. In some cases a "Big Bang" approach is necessary to replace entire systems or subsystems, but we aim to avoid it where possible, to move in small and fast cycles, delivering business value on an immediate basis. - Setup or migration service is for specific cloud services

- How the quality assurance and performance testing works
-
We specialise at embedding quality processes within companies, notably UK Gov systems such as DVSA, MOJ, MOD, and DVLA. Our principal engineers are internationally recognised public speakers in the Quality Assurance ecosystems.
We educate customers that QA isn't a checkpoint, but an outcome of a process from start to finish.
Our quality-driven process, makes QA a first-class consideration rather than an afterthought, enabling quality to flourish throughout.
It starts by educating stakeholders on what a quality-driven development process looks like, and then we begin to embed parts of it into development lifecycle.
We use many key quality-driven concepts. Two examples are Shift-Left, and Behavioural Driven Development (BDD).
BDD establishes a Ubiquitous Language across the entire business, from stakeholders, to the technical team. It ensures consistent terminology from requirements to code. BDD scenarios, derived from conversations, form test automation suites verifying system behavior against these business rules.
Using Shift-Left, the system's expected performance becomes a key influencer in the design of the system being built.
Writing the automation tests is system is a natural step in the Quality-Driven process. Areas of performance we test include Database, Network, Data Storage, Code Execution, through to UI performance.
