Fighting climate change
IMSL minimise its carbon footprint with any remote location training. We have put in place a subsidised electric car (EV) scheme through Octopus for all staff and encourage them to participate in this through a salary sacrifice benefit. Travel is otherwise by rail. Electronic equipment is reused where possible on multiple courses and at the end of their useful life are certifiably destroyed in an environmentally responsible way.Equal opportunity
IMSL is proud to support diversity in all forms. Having a close association with the defence and law enforcement sectors, IMSL has actively recruited veterans as analysts, including a triple amputee. We adapted our parking spaces to include a dedicated disability area and our bathroom arrangements in the office. Our pay structures are based on merit and not gender, sexuality or religion. We recruit from across the UK and by doing so help support individual local communities rather than just as a single site company.Wellbeing
IMSL recognise that poor health is a huge social cost on medical and care services and so we put specific features into our working culture:
• Private Health
• A contractual well-being allowance (Examples: Gym membership, yoga, pilates, meditation, art classes)
• Staff social events
• Development of career interests
• Additional annual leave
IMSL have moved offices from a business park to a landscaped estate which promotes walking in the grounds as a break from desk work. We foster a culture of support for a work/life balance and actively encourage staff to take breaks or to not work excessive hours. A healthy, positive IMSL workforce for us will benefit everyone who comes into contact with us as we deliver training at various locations.
