Information security policies and processes
We have an overall Integrated Management System (IMS - Quality Management and Information Security Management) Policy Statement and IMS Manual that are approved by our CEO. We then have a suite of topic-specific policies that support our IMS Policy, which are approved by our COO. Our IMS Manual names our DPO as our Information Security Manager, who reports to our Associate Director of Operations, who in turn reports to our COO. Our COO has overall responsibility for information security within the organisation. The Compliance Manager and Compliance Advisor also play significant roles in information security. General information security responsibilities of the wider Lexxic Team are detailed in our User Agreement and Contractor Information Security Agreement. Individuals are made aware that failure to comply with our information security policies may result in disciplinary action or termination of their contract. Compliance with our policies is monitored via spot checks and audits.

Fighting climate change

Lexxic's EMS is in line with the requirements of BS ISO 14001 Environmental Management System Principles.

We recognise the importance of our purchasing decisions and the impact they may have on our environment and society. We encourage our supply chain to implement a certified Quality, Environmental, and Health and Safety Management System. We also recognise the importance of environmental protection and we are committed to operating our business in compliance with all environmental regulations, legislation and initiatives relating to industry and the wider environment.

It is the organisation’s objective to operate with, and to maintain good relations with all regulatory bodies and places Environmental Protection at the core of its operations. Lexxic complies and operates to Environmental Standard ISO 14001:2015.

Lexxic is committed to conducting its business in an open and honest manner and as such our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) policy reflects the commitment of our employees to minimise the impact of our operations for future generations and ensuring the welfare of its staff and the local area. We pride ourselves with promoting all we do in an ethical and integral way.

Covid-19 recovery

Support the physical and mental health of people affected by COVID-19, including reducing the demand on health and care services.

Improve workplace conditions that support the COVID-19 recovery effort including effective social distancing, remote working, and sustainable travel solutions.

Neurodivergent individuals have been severely impacted by COVID-19 and long COVID - the neurodiverse community including individuals who have conditions such as ASC, ADHD, dyslexia, and other neurological differences may face additional challenges as long COVID symptoms can exacerbate these difficulties, making it more challenging for individuals to manage their environment and engage in daily activities.

Our mission and support services are designed to empower neurodivergent individuals in the workplace and create neuro-inclusive working environments that support remote working.

Tackling economic inequality

Create new businesses, new jobs and new skills:

Create employment opportunities particularly for those who face barriers to employment and/or who are located in deprived areas.

Neurodivergent individuals face many challenges when seeking employment, including stigma, discrimination, and lack of accommodations as well as discrimination when in role. The Buckland Review of Autism Employment, led by Sir Robert Buckland KC for the DWP, found that autistic people receive a third less pay than non-disabled people, on average, and face a wide range of barriers to work, including unfair hiring practices, unclear processes and outdated attitudes by employers.

Lexxic's support services provide equity in the workplace for neurodivergent individuals while creating a more neuro-inclusive working environment and increased awareness and understanding across the whole workplace.

Increase supply chain resilience and capacity:

Lexxic supports innovation and disruptive technologies throughout the supply chain to deliver lower cost and high-quality training through their e-learning platform that reduces cost and provides faster intervention than traditional face to face training methods.

Lexxic e-learning is a scalable and future-proofed new method to modernise delivery and increase productivity of neurodiversity training.

Lexxic promotes collaboration throughout the supply chain, in a fair and responsible approach by assigning dedicated case managers and relationship managers to oversee the procurement and delivery of services.

Lexxic has future proofed its operations by being certified to ISO 27001:2017 Information Security Management and has the systems to manage cyber security risks.

Lexxic influence staff, suppliers, customers and communities through the delivery of the contract to create resilience and capacity in the supply chain by holding a programme of FOC workshops and webinars to the community to increase awareness for neurodiversity inclusion.

Equal opportunity

Lexxic is focused on improving employment outcomes for neurodivergent individuals. 15-20% of the population are neurodivergent, representing a significant proportion of the disabled population. This group has been historically marginalised in employment (e.g. the employment rate for autistic individuals is just 21.7% [ONS, 2021]). Lexxic works with organisations across all sectors to remove barriers experienced by neurodivergent individuals across the employee lifecycle. This includes our Neurodiversity Smart Assessment and Accreditation, which reviews neuro-inclusion across all aspects of organisations, recruitment, talent management and workplace adjustments processes audits, toolkits and resources development to support recruitment and support for neurodivergent individuals, a range of awareness and education programmes related to neurodiversity in the workplace. We provide free events and resources, aimed at reaching employers and individuals who are not in a position to pay for our services to educate how to create more neuro-inclusive workplaces. In 2023/24 we delivered services to 144 organisations, with an estimated 50,000 people benefitting from our training. For individuals, Lexxic deliver workplace needs assessments providing neurodivergent employees with recommendations on support and adjustments which will be beneficial to them in their role, and coaching and training services which empower individuals to develop new skills, and to succeed within their careers. In 2023/24 we provided services to 4970 individuals. In an impact study of our support for neurodivergent individuals, 90% of HR professionals reported employee performance had improved, 91% of managers reported an increase in employee confidence levels and 94% of employees said that they are likely to remain with the organisation for the next 2 years. We advocate for change in disability employment more widely as active members of the Business Disability Forum, including co-chairing the BDF’s Neurodiversity Network. We are a disability-friendly employer, with an entirely remote working model, flexible working practices, comprehensive adjustments policy and EAP.

These activities are shared with clients and partners alike to encourage the adoption of wellbeing at the centre of all communities’ activities.

Improve community integration:
Lexxic partners and holds the Neurodiversity Celebration Week which is held annually in March. This is an outstanding event that is recognised internationally. From 15,000 registrations this year’s event attracted over 160,000 registrations for a series of panel, educational webinars to provide information and awareness on neurodiversity.

Lexxic offered interested attendees access to their e-learning platform and a heavily discounted rate to encourage a word where all minds belong.
