As part of Discovery and Initiation our quality engineers work with your subject-matter experts and stakeholders to understand your current approach to delivering quality and how that can be enhanced. We will identify ways of improving the efficiency and effectiveness of your service while protecting delivery schedules.
As our service is managed based on deliverables, we will plan packages of work to deliver and these can be stand-alone work packages or a flexible pipeline of work packages. This is designed to support traditional, agile and DevOps ways of working and can flex up or down smoothly as your project, programme or product teams need. We will agree with you a mix of deliverables to be provided as part of the next work package, and plan ahead for future work packages aligned to your mid- to long-term plans. Our service will align to your ways of working and participate in stand-ups, three-amigos, go / no-go and other sessions or ceremonies as needed. - Planning service works with specific services

- How the training service works
- Our solution implements a highly capable framework of tools, customised to your specific circumstances and technology. While we will operate, maintain, and extend this capability on your behalf for the duration of the service, we also anticipate that our clients will also want their own teams to benefit from using the automation framework we implement for you. We are happy to support this and will work with members of your team to provide training and support throughout the engagement. At the completion of our engagement we will carry out a further set of hand-over training so that you can continue to use and maintain the solution in-house.

The service follows a three-stage process namely Discover, Initiate, Operate.
Discovery - (no cost 2-3 day activity) we gain an understanding of your aims/objective/technology/challenges to assess the service fit. We hold short-focussed meetings with stakeholder representatives allowing us to understand your aims for assurance engineering and verify that our service will support these.
Initiation - 2-3 weeks fixed-price approach. We deploy our solution against your test system(s) verifying our understanding from Discovery. We carry out initial CAF adaption to demonstrate the fit and gain an understanding of your system/technology. We create deliverables e.g. a mix of simple/complex examples, to refine our T-Shirt service-pricing model for your specific context.
Operate - fully-running service. We build artefacts, execute test and report against results, undertaking deeper analysis where needed. We maintain the CAF at our cost; we charge to maintain the artefacts specific to your project. Ongoing CAF enhancements are provided at no charge. We apply learning from all client projects bringing them into the core so that all clients benefit from an ever-improving capability.
At service completion we undertake a transition of the CAF to your in-house team so that you can continue to deploy it inhouse with no additional service tie-in. - Setup or migration service is for specific cloud services

Our quality engineers have deep experience of solution architecture and how this impacts performance. We will work with your wider delivery team at every stage in software and solution delivery. We can provide input on selecting the correct technology stack to support your aims, architecting your solution, specifying meaningful requirements, designing efficient tests for these and implementing them effectively.
At a high-level we consider three broad activities in our service. Performance architecture considers systems analysis and design, requirements definition, technology guidance and capacity planning. Performance solution testing considers early testing of components, generation of technical requirements from business requirements to allow this, and test execution that supports agile / DevOps / CICD ways of working. Performance process testing considers end-to-end performance and user experience; while component testing is important for early assurance it is the full, end-to-end experience that will ultimately count for users.

Service is delivered as part of our ongoing engagement with you. We under-write the quality of the deliverables we produce and will fix any issues following updates to the core solution.
We will maintain the test assets produced for your specific deployment and agree a maintenance budget, typically a percentage of the development work based on expected levels of change and the stability of the solution. This is also charged on a deliverables basis.

Fighting climate change
Fighting Climate Change - Greener Initiatives - Resillion encourages all its staff to ‘think’ green (e.g. cycle to work). We have introduced initiatives within all Resillion offices aimed at reducing our carbon footprint and have been approved for ESOS (Energy Savings Opportunity Scheme). These include promoting a ‘print only if absolutely necessary’ policy, to reduce the need for print paper and ink cartridges. Resillion re-cycling points in our offices reduce landfill and support ‘re-use’. Our environmental policy and associated procedures cover how we improve our energy efficiency, including reducing water usage and to encourage staff to consider greener transport means/car sharing for commuting. Our ISO (9001 and 27001) processes ensure that our Environmental policies and processes are reviewed every year. Resillion commits to supporting any green or environmental initiatives promoted or implemented by our customers and clients, including Resillion employees working on local community projects.Covid-19 recovery
In recovery from the COVID pandemic we found it key that we continue to support the economic recovery by recruiting locally, this approach has several benefits:
It improves the concomitant wellbeing within the locale
It helps maintain a work/life balance for the employee in a challenging time
It reduces the environmental impact by reducing the need to commute long distances.
Resillion recognises that since the pandemic ways of working have gone through a massive cultural shift. As we moved out of the pandemic, Resillion was committed to ensuring that any transition back to ‘normal’ was carried out in a fair and considerate way. Resillion adopts a flexible, hybrid way of working so that we can flex to our customers way of working. We support our employees by providing regular 1-2-1 sessions that provide a medium for our people to highlight their concerns, allowing us to adjust their working patterns so that they can support themselves and their family’s needs. We also utilise Perkbox’s ‘Wellness Hub’ which we make available to our staff and which proved invaluable as we emerged from the impact of Covid.Tackling economic inequality
Resillion is recognised as the testing employer of choice with an excellent reputation. We leverage this in our proactive resourcing strategy. Key aspects of this are:
An active programme of recruitment to bring new and local talent into the organisation. By implementing recruitment best practice and meeting the five foundational principles of quality work set out in the Good Work Plan, we attract great candidates from all backgrounds, minimise staff turnover and improve client project efficiency.
We source local suppliers (to each of our offices). This helps us support the local community and infrastructure and helps build a stronger economic environment within the local community as well as fostering opportunities for growth.
Our SQA Customised Award graduate programme is designed to attract new talent into the workforce. There are no barriers, and we actively encourage applications from individuals from all walks of life, no matter what their background is.
We commit to new engagement with local universities, collaborating with students on minimum 4 final year/graduate projects providing senior technical support and mentoring, computer hardware and access to software. This includes working with universities within the UK to promote awareness of careers and recruitment opportunities relating to known skills shortages concerning software testing and cyber security.
We support refugees, including those from Ukraine, Yemen, and other war-torn countries, by offering laptops so that they can take part in courses which help them get jobs and a better life.Equal opportunity
Resillion is very active in progressing its diversity and BAME ratios and is compliant with all relevant legislation. This is highlighted by the following:
44% women at Board Level across UK, 31% of our workforce is from a BAME background
Our internal recruiters have annual female, BAME and disability targets to meet
We provide fair employment terms and above National living wage for all employees
We have signed up to the Armed Forces Covenant to help create further employment opportunities and support for those Veterans and military personnel who face barriers to employment.
We have achieved the Investors in Young People Gold Award year on year since 2017
All Employees have targets for CO2 and Diversity
We have an active Youth Forum Group supported by Director level mentors who have a direct impact on determining our approach to ongoing recruitment, training and welfare of new recruits.Wellbeing
Our greatest asset is our people and we recognise the importance of employee health and wellbeing. We support our staff as follows: • Employee Assistance Program – professional counselling/mental health and wellbeing • A growing community of mental health first aiders to provide pastoral support and signposting to external support for any colleagues who require our help. We provide a confidential wellbeing address which is accessible to all colleagues – where they can reach out to a mental health first aider. • The provision of Perkbox’s ‘Wellness Hub’ which we make available to our staff and which proved invaluable as we emerged from the Covid pandemic. • Long term sickness cover – we ensure illness does not impact financial commitments or taking care of dependents • Death in service benefit – dependents receive a significant sum, making the loss less financially challenging • Follow your heart scheme – staff receive up to £1,200 and 5 days in matched funding/holiday for personal development activities. • We undertake charity fund raisers such as the Tough Mudder 15k event. Funded entirely by Resillion we raised £1,330 towards The Aortic Dissection Charitable Trust • Cycle to work scheme – improve physical health and wellbeing • Inclusivity workshops / monthly feedback sessions • The management team discuss the importance of mental health and wellbeing at our quarterly meetings with all colleagues and importantly role model behaviours to demonstrate this, for example, avoiding meetings over lunch to enable colleague to take a physical break from their computer • We recognise that many employees have family or caring commitments that cannot always be catered for during the working day. Whilst we have commitments to our clients, we allow employees the flexibility (time-off, working from home etc) so that they can maintain a healthy work/life balance.
