Step 1 Discovery and analysis - Explore the applications in more detail to define the archiving and decommissioning requirements and data retention rules.
Step 2 Archive and decommissioning design - A detailed technical overview of the implementation, detailed timeline plan and service transition plan.
Step 3 Project implementation - Implement your plan, remembering to document actions, undergo testing and deliver training as you progress.

How the setup or migration service works
Once the target service architecture as been created the archive would be ready to receive data from the SAP ERP systems. Based on what is defined within the planning phase, the service would support and manage the data migration into the archive ensuring the correct data retention period is applied and any specific data retrieval requirements are documented and defined. On the successful completion of the data being migrated into the archive, the service would also manage the final step to delete the data from the production system.
