At Annertech, we aim to be a pro-active partner. We want to ensure that you get the most out of our service, and your Drupal website.
We take a collaborative approach to planning. As part of our onboarding process, we will have a kick-off meeting where the project team can meet, agree roles & responsibilities and discuss project objectives.
We will analyse your site's architecture and content, and organise workshops with you to discuss the results of our analysis and our recommendations for its migration.
Our agile delivery team will organise a series of discovery workshops with you to discuss your requirements in more detail, plan out implementation approaches and define a roadmap with clear milestones and deliverables for each phase (discovery, alpha and beta).
You will have an account director who will work with you to enhance your digital presence and ensure that you are getting the most out of our service.

In the run-up to the launch of the migrated or upgraded site, and throughout its life cycle as required, we can train your team on how to use the platform and tools provided effectively.
We provide Drupal content editor and administrator training, as well as “train the trainer” training. Each course is tailored to meet your specific requirements and can be delivered on-site or online via Teams, Zoom or similar tools.

We can also offer Drupal developer training course to get your in-house development team up-to-speed with the platform.

Documentation can be provided, either as step-by-step CMS user guides or as a library of short how-to videos.

We have tried and tested onboarding methods that help organisations migrate or upgrade their websites to the latest version of Drupal. We have considerable experience in migrating from legacy platforms, whether that be older versions of Drupal or other systems such as SharePoint and WordPress, and have done this for a large number of clients.

We understand that every client and every site is different, so we aim to make the migration as painless as possible.

We start by analysing the current website to gain a deep understanding of its architecture, content structures and functionality. We then collaborate with you to gather insights about your organisation, its users, and your objectives and goals.

We work with you to develop a detailed migration plan, and map all legacy data structures to the new site. Scripts to automate the migration of data are developed, with manual migration performed where necessary. Iterative testing is performed throughout to ensure data consistency, and a redirect strategy put in place to minimise any potential negative SEO impact.

We can also help you migrate your existing Drupal website to Drupal cloud hosting providers such as Acquia or Platform.sh.

How the quality assurance and performance testing works
Annertech is committed to ongoing assessment of the quality of the service being delivered. Our approach is to manage QA as an integral part of our Drupal development and delivery process, ensuring the end product delivered is fit for purpose.
Aligned with GDS, our testing process includes a variety of testing completed throughout the project. This includes acceptance testing, functional testing, integration testing, performance testing, and accessibility testing. Penetration testing is also conducted on a regular basis when in production.
During the analysis of the legacy platform, we take a benchmark of where the website stands in terms of performance, SEO, security, adherence to best practises and general standards of quality. These benchmarks can then be used as a baseline to measure the new Drupal site against after the migration or upgrade is complete.

How the support service works
We support Drupal sites in all hosting environments, provided the site code is in Git version control, necessary server access is granted and SSH access is available.

We provide a number of support channels, including an online ticketing system, email and phone. Regardless of the channel used, all support requests are entered into our online tracking system.

Support requests can take the form of answering queries and providing assistance where needed, maintaining and optimising your site, or adding enhancements to your site.
We can provide hosting for your Drupal site where needed, where we will maintain the availability of your Drupal CMS application, with an agreed uptime and backup schedule.

We require access to the website code, database and files for the purposes of performing the analysis and migration. Access to analytics platforms is also required.

If deployment to a hosting environment is needed, we require an automated deployment system or SSH server access. FTP or control panel access alone is not sufficient.

Our service is only available remotely. However, a consultant can come on-site for meetings at the standard on-site daily rate as stated in our pricing document.

We offer a number of subscription packages. These come in bundles of 8 hours per month and are billed in 15 minute increments. They cover help and support from our dedicated support team, maintenance of your application, and offer continuous improvement and ongoing development.

We provide 4 levels of support:

• Bronze: 8 hrs/mo,
• Silver: 16 hrs/mo,
• Gold: 24 hrs/mo,
• Enterprise: 25+ hrs/mo,
All packages can be upgraded or downgraded with one month's notice.

If not all subscribed hours are used within a given month, you can roll over hours to the following month(s). A cap of one month's subscription is applied.

We do not penalise clients for exceeding their monthly subscription, and still only charge extra work at the daily rate according to the package chosen. However, we are unable to guarantee our capacity to take on extra work which has not been previously flagged or agreed to.

You will have a dedicated, named account manager who will lead you through the on-boarding process and hold regular reviews with you to ensure our levels of service are acceptable, and discuss goals and upcoming changes for the site.

Fighting climate change

We are aware that reducing our emissions represents a significant benefit for ourselves, our customers, our suppliers and our communities.
Since our foundation, Annertech has always been a remote-first, distributed company – we have no offices. This means that we have reduced our impact on the environment by not having premises, meaning that our team does not have to commute while also enjoy a better work/life balance with flexible working hours.
As a digital only company we’ve also removed the need for paper, and travel to on-site meetings only where value can be added. If travel is required, then we encourage our staff to use public transport wherever possible.
We partner with providers, including hosting, who are committed to reducing their carbon footprint.

Covid-19 recovery

As a fully distributed company, our staff are able to work remotely from home. This meant that during the pandemic we were able to continue to support our customers with minimal disruption. In addition, our fully flexible working hours meant that staff were able to more effectively balance the needs of their families with that of work.
Being a distributed company, we are also mindful of the need for social interaction and to maintain our open, transparent and collaborative culture. To that end we have daily online coffee mornings, cameras on by-default (but not mandatory) policy, and other social activities such as a book club, foodie group to share recipes and restaurant recommendations, and more. We also try to get as many people from the team as possible to meet up in person for 1-2 retreats per year.
The health and well-being of our staff is important to us, so everyone also has access to an Employee Assistance Programme (EAP).

Tackling economic inequality
