Quest Software has indeed been involved in evaluating user satisfaction with assistive technology. One such assessment tool they’ve used is the Quebec User Evaluation of Satisfaction with Assistive Technology (QUEST). This instrument gauges a patient’s contentment with various assistive devices, considering factors like dimensions, weight, adjustments, safety, durability, simplicity of use, comfort, and effectiveness. Additionally, it assesses service-related aspects such as delivery, repairs, professionalism, and follow-up service

End-of-contract data extraction
When a Foglight contract ends, users must proactively extract their data, as Quest will delete it upon contract termination. Foglight provides several mechanisms to do this. Through the web-based dashboard, users can export tables, charts, and reports in formats such as CSV, Excel, XML, or PDF. For more detailed or bulk historical data, the fglcmd command-line tool allows metric queries and scripted exports of performance metrics. In cloud-hosted Foglight (Foglight Cloud), users can also leverage OpenTelemetry integration to export metrics to external systems, ensuring continuous archiving of monitoring data. Scheduled and custom reports should be run and exported ahead of contract end to retain key operational insights.
End-of-contract process
At the end of a Foglight contract, all customer data hosted by Quest, including historical metrics, dashboards, and reports, is deleted completely. Users must proactively export any critical data via the web dashboard (CSV, Excel, XML, PDF), the fglcmd command-line tool for bulk metric extraction, or, in Foglight Cloud, via OpenTelemetry integration to retain monitoring history. Customers should coordinate with Quest support to confirm deletion timelines and ensure a smooth offboarding process.

The contract price typically includes access to the Foglight SaaS platform, core monitoring of databases, servers, virtual machines, containers, and cloud services, standard dashboards, alerts, reports, and basic support according to the SLA. Subscription fees cover platform maintenance, software updates, security patches, and hosting infrastructure.

Additional costs may include optional modules or add-ons such as advanced analytics features, AI-driven diagnostics (Foglight Alarms AI, if not included in base subscription), premium support or consultancy services, integrations with third-party tools, or increased data retention beyond the standard allocation. Any custom professional services for deployment, configuration, or extended reporting capabilities are typically billed separately. Users should review the service agreement to confirm which features are included in the subscription and which require extra charges to avoid unexpected costs.

User support accessibility
EN 301 549
Description of service interface
The Foglight service interface is a web-based, browser-accessible dashboard that provides real-time monitoring, analytics, and alerts for databases, servers, virtual machines, and cloud environments. Users can view customizable dashboards, drill down into performance metrics, and access AI-driven insights (Alarms AI) for root-cause analysis. The interface supports role-based access, integrates with APIs for automation, and allows configuration of alerts, reports, and historical trend analysis. It is designed for IT operations and DBAs, enabling proactive issue detection, guided troubleshooting, and simplified management of hybrid and cloud-hosted infrastructures.
Accessibility standards
EN 301 549
Accessibility testing
Based on publicly available information, Foglight by Quest Software does not appear to have undergone formal user testing with assistive technologies. While the web-based interface supports standard browsers and claims alignment with accessibility standards like WCAG 2.1 AA or EN 301 549 in marketplace listings, there is no documented evidence of testing with screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, or other assistive tools.

Foglight’s PDF report outputs are explicitly noted as non-ADA-compliant by default, lacking features like tagged PDFs or alternative text, with accessibility improvements listed only as enhancement requests. No accessibility conformance reports, user-testing results, or testimonials from users with disabilities are publicly available.

In practice, this suggests that while Foglight provides general web access and some compliance claims, assistive-technology support is limited or unverified. Buyers requiring accessibility for compliance or inclusivity should conduct their own testing or confirm with Quest whether accessible configurations or future enhancements are available.

Scaling

Independence of resources
Foglight Cloud prevents one user’s activity from affecting others through multi-tenant isolation, ensuring each customer’s data and processing remain separate. The platform employs resource quotas and throttling to limit CPU, memory, and I/O usage per tenant. Hosted on elastic cloud infrastructure, Foglight can scale compute and storage dynamically to handle demand spikes. Monitoring tasks, alerts, and reports are queued and scheduled to maintain predictable performance. Combined with service-level agreements (SLAs) for uptime and performance, these mechanisms guarantee consistent service, so one user’s workload does not degrade the experience for others.

Guaranteed availability
Provider will make commercially reasonable efforts to make the SaaS Software available twenty-four hours a day, seven days
a week except for scheduled maintenance, the installation of updates, those factors that are beyond the reasonable control of Provider,
Customer’s failure to meet any minimum system requirements communicated to Customer by Provider, and any breach of this Agreement by
Customer that impacts the availability of the SaaS Software. Provider shall provide reasonable advance notice to Customer of any scheduled
maintenance. Provider can limit or suspend Customer’s access to the SaaS Software if it is sufficiently probable that the continued use of the
SaaS Software may result in harm to the SaaS Software, other Provider customers, or the rights of third parties in such a way that immediate
action is required to avoid damages or Customer is in breach of the Agreement. If circumstances allow and if reasonably practicable, Provider will give Customer notice so that Customer may seek to promptly avoid the issue and avoid suspension.

Configuration and change management standard
Complies with a recognised standard, for example CSA CCM v4.0 or SSAE-18 / ISAE 3402
Configuration and change management approach
All changes are raised via the support ticketing system, Zendesk, and will be added into the development tracking system. Code changes are implemented with build script - we do use automated deployment tools for code movement and roll-backs from our beta, staging and live environments. Changes are approved by Development and Product Manager before being pushed.
Vulnerability management type
Complies with a recognised standard, for example CSA CCM v4.0 or SSAE-18 / ISAE 3402
Vulnerability management approach
Vulnerability scanning tool generates reports, tested against a known database of issues. Rule sets use common vulnerabilities and exposures (CVE), center for internet security (CIS) Operating System configuration benchmarks, and security best practices. High and Medium issues resolved as quickly as possible. Low and Informational issues worked into the normal sprint plans. Security pack covers whole platform of solutions: - Intrusion Detection/Prevention and hosting of agents and manager within remote environment - Security Information and Event Monitoring (SIEM – Manage Engine EventLog Analyzer) - and the hosting of the agents and manager within the remote environment - Quarterly vulnerability testing.
Protective monitoring type
Complies with a recognised standard, for example CSA CCM v4.0 or SSAE-18 / ISAE 3402
Protective monitoring approach
If the advanced security pack is chosen (on single tenant environments), we utilise an IDS/IPS tooling and all events are sent to a central management console, managed by DevOps team. The IPS software will remediate and block issues where they are found. Any alerts will quickly be responded to and remediated by the DevOps team, depending on criticality.
Incident management type
Complies with a recognised standard, for example, CSA CCM v4.0 or ISO/IEC 27035:2011 or SSAE-18 / ISAE 3402
Incident management approach
Incident record is created in the Quality Log Incident Manager assigned to co-ordinate resolution and communications . Incident manager will work with the account manager to keep the customer informed. Issues will be escalated to Product Management and Development Management. Escalation beyond this is to the senior management team Customer is notified of the issue/incident and the plans to resolve it by the account manager. Development Manager will review the issue, any knock-on effects and devise the best fix method Change management process follows attempts at resolving the issue. Incident Report completed afterwards detailing the cause, lessons learned.
