Kainos follows a robust, proven, prescriptive Deployment Methodology developed and enhanced by Kainos across successful Workday implementations. The methodology is based on five key stages with activities for each stage:
• Plan Stage –activities at this stage include setting the overall project direction, agreeing project goals, defining roles and responsibilities, setting up project governance, introducing test strategy, reviewing design principles, allocating project team members, engaging with 3rd party vendors, and creating a detailed project plan and charter.
• Architect Stage –activities at this stage include running functional design sessions, designing business processes, analysing solution gaps, documenting design decisions, analysing and designing integrations, creating test strategy plans, and initiating data gathering.
• Configure & Prototype Stage (Iterative) –activities at this stage include configuring prototypes based on captured requirements, testing prototype configurations, performing data validation, developing, and testing integrations, and finalising test plans.
• Test Stage –activities at this stage include validating configuration decisions and system/user readiness, ensuring that data, configuration, business processes, and integrations meet business needs, completing user acceptance testing (UAT), and preparing cut of “live” data for final build.
• Deploy Stage –activities at this stage include final tenant building and transitioning the customer to production support services. - Planning service works with specific services

As part of the Kainos Workday deployment methodology, Kainos offers continuous knowledge transfer and capability development exercises to support Workday-delivered formal training.
Kainos’s approach to training is based on a best-practice approach that includes an assessment of the customer's specific training requirements. We then work closely with client teams to help define a Training Strategy and Plan. This also details the training delivery method which will be based on the complexity of content, the number of users, the geographic spread of end-users, and the proficiency level required.
We offer additional optional training/adoption tools to help support specific training requirements. - Training is tied to specific services

Kainos offers services to assist our clients in the transition to the Workday platform from existing legacy / on-premise ERP solutions. When planning a migration to Workday, a key consideration is an approach to data migration, ensuring that relevant and quality data is available as part of the new service. Kainos has extensive experience in data management built up over the past 30 years and is recognised as having extensive expertise in Workday data migration and integrations. We have developed data migration accelerator tools, such as Kainos Data Templates, which have built-in validation to ensure that data can be migrated faster and to higher quality and with less effort from the client organisation.
In addition to the services delivered as part of our Workday Deployment Methodology, Kainos provides a range of cloud migration services which, depending on where you are on your cloud journey, include:
• Cloud Discovery & Strategy
• Cloud Maturity Assessment

Testing is one of the five key stages in our Workday deployment methodology and we work with customers to validate configuration decisions and system/user readiness, ensuring that data, configuration, business processes, and integration all meet business needs. We support customers by completing user acceptance testing (UAT) and preparing a cut of “live” data for the final build prior to going live.
Kainos is widely regarded as the market leader for Workday testing. More than 300 Workday customers use Kainos Smart Test™, the award-winning and Workday-approved automated test product built exclusively for Workday. Smart Test enables customers to automatically test their Workday configuration during implementation, helping to reliably stage test data and ensuring that business processes, integrations, and reports are all tested consistently and easily. Smart Test is invaluable post-deployment of Workday, ensuring that regression is not inadvertently introduced throughout the life of the project as new functionality is introduced, business as usual changes are made, as new versions of the Workday platform are released. Using Smart Test helps to reduce the cost, effort, and risk associated with manual testing.
