The SSL approach to projects is ensure collaboration is prioritised. Implementations will be iterative and interactive which means project resources are familiar with the product from the outset. We involve customers in a hands-on capacity throughout, which in itself forms the foundations of the familiarisation and training journey.
In addition to on-going familiarisation and knowledge transfer, Oracle Cloud solutions have evolved significantly in recent years and offer comprehensive in-application support solutions. These solutions provide a modernised way of ensuring users are informed with the correct way to interact with the system to complete common business processes and transactions. Oracle Guided Learning and Oracle Digital Assistant can be used to minimise the need for the creation and maintenance effort for training materials. “Out of the box” functionality is available or specific guidance can be tailored where required. Journeys can also be used to guide users through common activities. SSL are skilled in this area and utilise these modern features to ensure promote user adoption during both the ‘Enable’ and ‘Operate & Innovate’ phases.

SSL will work with you to understand your current data landscape and to identify your migration goals. This will involve profiling your data to understand its structure, quality and dependencies. We will work with you to cleanse and transform data to address any quality issues and ensure compatibility with Oracle SaaS. We will use advanced tooling to automate wherever possible. Data migration cycles will be planned where we can identify any potential issues or bottlenecks. Migrated data will be validated to ensure it has migrated correctly and meets the desired quality standards. The migrated data will be included in integration testing where appropriate to ensure seamless functionality.

Our service encompasses Test Strategy, Test Management, Test Automation Tools, and Frameworks designed specifically for Oracle Fusion SaaS environments, enabling efficient Functional, Data Migration, Integration, Non-Functional, and Regression Testing.
Our SSL Intelligent Innovation Cloud Method naturally lends itself to a level of continuous testing throughout the project life cycle. The method is designed to include customer project resources throughout, which in itself generates buy-in and acceptance. Formal phases of testing include Systems Integration testing and Data migration test cycles in addition to the support of User Acceptance Testing. This includes meticulous testing of BI Reports and Dashboards.
Due to the nature of Cloud implementations, traditional performance testing methods such as using Loadrunner are not available. SSL will utilise automated testing wherever possible to capture the performance of transactions. Data migration and integration is also tested using full loads and performance is stringently monitored. Service requests are raised with Oracle if changes are needed who will resize the hardware as appropriate.

SSL will provide an agreed period of Hypercare to ensure that the transition is seamless with minimal disruption. Working collaboratively, we will closely monitor the system to address any issues or challenges and have regular check in sessions. Any issues will be rapidly investigated and resolved.
There will be an opportunity to gather feedback on the success of the implementation to identify areas for improvement. This feedback loop is essential for refining processes, addressing user concerns and enhancing overall satisfaction with the service.
The Hypercare phase sets the stage for continuous improvement. Lessons learned from the initial implementation and Hypercare support are analysed to make informed decisions for ongoing optimisation and enhancement of the services. Oracle Guided Learning analytics can be used to identify any areas where additional support is required and additional artefacts can be built to support these. Note, this is included with premium OGL.
As the environment and usage stabilises, Hypercare will cease and will transition into standard support. SSL would be happy to provide ongoing Oracle SaaS support.

People and communities: Our ‘Tech for Good’ programme is designed to provide people, small businesses and VCSEs with skills they need to thrive and is focused on those from disadvantaged or under-represented communities. Since the beginning of the pandemic, we have transitioned to a hybrid-virtual programme to ensure continued accessibility. For example, we worked with ELATT, a digital skills charity, to create hybrid learning, ensuring those who were shielding or otherwise unable to access classroom learning, as well as those who most needed to be in a classroom to support their learning, could still participate.

Organisations and businesses: In the first year of the pandemic, we ran free training courses for charities and SME’s – offering Microsoft Teams training and modules on cyber security and resilience. We continue to offer pro-bono consulting for charities to help them use technology to better serve their communities.

Physical and mental health needs: Since the pandemic, we have put in place measures to prevent and manage risks to employee wellbeing – including the wellbeing of contracted staff – together with appropriate training and individual support, and initiatives to raise awareness of mental health issues at work. We have also trained ca. 60 Mental Health First Aiders.
