Fighting climate change

We have a range of ESG practices that support our commitment to being a transparently carbon-neutral, sustainable organisation, that is accountable to people and the planet.

We have a published company commitment available via the SME Climate Hub and our website to offset 100% of our carbon emissions annually, and to actively reduce these emissions year on year.

We publish an annual report on our website detailing our emissions and the steps we’ve taken to both offset these and reduce them,

We have a company ESG lead that has a seat on our board, who is responsible for sponsoring ESG initiatives, ensuring that ESG aspects are considered as part of all company activities, and for ensuring the company meets its public commitments.

We have an ethical decision-making framework for selecting partners and suppliers that prioritises companies that positively contribute back to the environment and to communities, for example by committing to carbon reduction, or by contributing to open-source standards or software.

We are in the progress of formally becoming a B Corp accredited organisation. Our aim is to complete this in 2025, and will announce via our website when this is achieved.

Tackling economic inequality

We have started to publish an open-source library of knowledge and material relating to many of our company products, with the aim of enabling Public Sector organisations (worldwide) to directly adopt the thinking and practices we teach. This is available for free at yokoten.net.
