All employees report directly to Chris Thomas, CEO.
We hold an IASME Cyber Security Accreditation, refreshed annually.
As part of the onboarding process all employees are required to take a number of training courses, and read relevant policies, including training on data security protection and GDPR. These courses are annually refreshed and contain an exam which must be passed.
All employees follow protocols set out by IASME.
For clients, access to the reporting system and the THRIVE reports is controlled and only granted upon request when verified by a trusted third party at the relevant location and department.
Operational security
- Configuration and change management standard
- Supplier-defined controls
- Configuration and change management approach
-
All changes are made in line with IASME guidance and created on a sandbox model before being converted into a test site for detailed performance and security testing. If any bugs are discovered during the testing process the entire update is reverted back to sandbox and replanned for testing.
Changes are only made when necessary, any changes regarding system security will be scrutinised first by the CTO and all changes are applied to all platforms.
All documentation issued for the service is recorded, plus a detailed log of changes are kept and back up versions of the site are kept. - Vulnerability management type
- Supplier-defined controls
- Vulnerability management approach
- Base line review of vulnerability conducted internally using external software. Any vulnerabilities identified are ranked and then tackled accordingly with high priority leading to all development work stopping until resolved. IF a number of risks are identified we would then follow up with an external company to retest the vulnerability review.
- Protective monitoring type
- Undisclosed
- Protective monitoring approach

System testing takes place in line with the annually renewed cyber security accreditation. We are signed up to the MyNCSC.
We also use various antivirus softwares/firewalls and perform regular checks on all hardware devices to ensure they are up to date and secure.
If a threat is discovered within the system a patch will be developed and implemented at the first available opportunity. If a threat is discovered to a product used by Inform People the product will not be used by Inform People and data will be removed until it is safe to use. - Incident management type
- Supplier-defined controls
- Incident management approach
-
Inform People holds detailed continuity plans and risk assessments to set out clear operating procedures when faced with potentially business critical events, both common and uncommon.
Users can report issues or incidents via the support desk where it will be logged.
Inform People employees can log incidents with the CEO who will record in an incident log book and (where applicable) escalate further.
Incident management testing also occurs within Inform People to ensure all employees are trained to deal with any reasonably expected situation.
