Availability and resilience

Guaranteed availability
Provider will make the Provider Service available 99.95% of the time, excluding Scheduled Maintenance.
In order to qualify as “Scheduled Maintenance”, a particular maintenance period must (a) be the subject of commercially reasonable efforts to avoid and minimize downtime; (b) not exceed two (2) hours per occurrence or four (4) hours per month in the aggregate; (c) be the subject of seven (7) days advance written notice to Customer.

In the event that Provider does not achieve the service levels, Customer will be entitled to the following service credits:
[Extended usage of the platform] e.g.
Software Services Uptime
SLA Credit
97 - 99% - 3% of total monthly platform fee applicable to month in which failure occurred
95 - 97% - 5% of total monthly platform fee applicable to month in which failure occurred
< 95% - 10% of total monthly platform fee applicable to month in which failure occurred
Approach to resilience
VidCruiter’s datacentre architecture is built on AWS’s highly resilient, multi-AZ (Availability Zone) infrastructure. Our production environment is distributed across multiple redundant zones, ensuring that if one zone becomes unavailable, services continue to operate without disruption. This setup protects against hardware failure, localized outages, and other potential risks.
We also leverage AWS’s built-in resilience features, including automated failover, continuous backups, and replication across availability zones to maintain service continuity and data integrity.
For security reasons, detailed architecture diagrams and additional technical specifics are not shared publicly, but they are available on request under NDA.
Outage reporting
VidCruiter communicates outages and service disruptions through multiple channels to ensure transparency and timely updates:
Public Status Dashboard: We maintain a real-time status page where users can view current system performance, ongoing incidents, and historical uptime.

Email Alerts: If an issue affects a specific client or environment, our team sends email notifications with relevant details, updates, and resolution timelines.

No Direct API: There is no mention of a direct, customer-facing API specifically for service status/outage reporting. The publicly accessible method is the Status Dashboard.

Access restrictions in management interfaces and support channels
Access to management interfaces and support channels is strictly controlled through layers of security, adhering to the Principle of Least Privilege (PoLP).

Management Interfaces: Access requires Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) via FIPS compliant VPN. Privileged access is restricted to senior personnel only and is managed through Role-Based Access Control (RBAC). All administrative actions are logged in immutable audit trails, reviewed 24/7 for unauthorized activity.

Support Channels: Customer support staff access client data strictly on a need-to-know basis for technical assistance, and all internal team access to client data is visible to the customer in their admin logs.

Operational security

Configuration and change management standard
Complies with a recognised standard, for example CSA CCM v4.0 or SSAE-18 / ISAE 3402
Configuration and change management approach
VidCruiter uses a formal, audited change management process certified by SOC 2 Type 2 and ISO 27001.

Tracking: All system components (assets) are logged in the ISMS Inventory. Configuration changes and system activity are tracked via immutable, centralized audit logs.

Security Impact: All changes follow a defined workflow. They are assessed for security impact by a two-person review (senior engineers, with CISO/CTO involvement for critical changes). Releases undergo SAST/code review and are tested in non-production environments before deployment, ensuring configuration integrity and adherence to hardening standards like NIST SP 800-53.
Vulnerability management type
Complies with a recognised standard, for example CSA CCM v4.0 or SSAE-18 / ISAE 3402
Vulnerability management approach
Threats are assessed using internal code analysis (SAST/DAST daily) and monthly internal scans across all infrastructure. External threats are identified via annual third-party penetration tests and proprietary security feeds (e.g., Cisco Talos).

Patch deployment adheres to strict SLAs (Critical threats patched within 24 hours). All remediation is prioritized using a formal Threat and Risk Assessment methodology. The entire program is integrated into the SDLC (OWASP) and validated by annual SOC 2 Type 2 and ISO 27001 audits.
Protective monitoring type
Complies with a recognised standard, for example CSA CCM v4.0 or SSAE-18 / ISAE 3402
Protective monitoring approach
VidCruiter utilizes 24/7 centralized monitoring via SIEM, IDS/IPS, and APT detection tools (CrowdStrike, Snort, GuardDuty) to identify compromises in real-time. All logs (application, system, admin) are protected and audited for immediate anomaly detection.

Upon identifying a potential compromise, the dedicated CIRT executes a formal Incident Response Plan.

Response Time: The system responds to high-impact alerts 24/7. Clients are notified of a confirmed security breach within 24 hours. Technical support aims for incident resolution within two minutes (SLA: 1 hour) for swift mitigation.
Incident management type
Complies with a recognised standard, for example, CSA CCM v4.0 or ISO/IEC 27035:2011 or SSAE-18 / ISAE 3402
Incident management approach
VidCruiter's incident management follows a formal, documented process (Incident Response Policy), aligned with NIST SP 800-61.

We have pre-defined processes for incident identification, containment, and recovery. Users report incidents via 24/7 technical support channels (live chat, email, phone). The dedicated CIRT, led by the CISO, responds to high-impact alerts 24/7. Upon resolution, we provide incident reports directly to the client's designated contacts (e.g., via email) and commit to notifying the client of a confirmed data breach within 24 hours.

The organization's ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification, accredited by Marcum RAS, LLC, applies specifically to the Information Security Management System (ISMS) supporting the VidCruiter Recruiting SaaS System and does not extend to the products or services themselves. Geographically, the scope is restricted to operations at the Moncton, NB, Canada location, and it does not cover the physical infrastructure (such as servers and network hardware) managed by AWS, which is governed under a shared responsibility model. Furthermore, the certification excludes client-side responsibilities including end-user administration and data entry, as well as specific controls such as data masking, physical protection against natural disasters for the Moncton office due to cloud redundancy, and delivery/loading area security as most staff work remotely.
