Customer data that is processed by EDH resides within the Customers own Cloud managed service on on-premise data stores. The customer always has full access to the data and associated logging information.
When a customer is off-boarded their account information and metadata about the service is covered under our standard Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy.
Cloudera does not store any personal data. However, Cloudera does store certain operational data (diagnostic bundles, telemetry data, support cases, and even configuration data between clients. Everything is stored in a multi-tenant environment with software controls in place to create separation between clients. - End-of-contract process

Cloudera is committed to reducing our carbon emissions and achieving net zero as an organisation as demonstrated by our Carbon Reduction Plan;
https://www.cloudera.com/content/dam/www/legal/cloudera-carbon-reduction-plan.pdf
Furthermore, Cloudera provide advice, guidance and an operational platform for our clients to reduce their own carbon emissions - Clpudera provide a hybrid data platform which allows users to locate their data and workloads in an environment of their choice, whether on premise, public cloud or private cloud - Or a combination of these. Through this hybrid data platform customers can automatically cease public cloud compute when a workload or query is complete therefore reducing the carbon emissions which would otherwise have been generated by the machine/instance being left idle without workloads upon it.
Cloudera is committed to providing this best practice across our clients, whether public or private sector in order to reduce the carbon footprint of the IT sector as a whole. - Covid-19 recovery

Covid-19 recovery
Cloudera is committed to providing support, guidance and a safe environment for workers, contractors and clients in the recovery from Covid-19.
Cloudera has, for many years, provided an extensive apprenticeship and internship programme, targeted at individuals who may not traditionally apply or be exposed to employment in the IT sector. Cloudera University has and does provide extensive training and educational courses, free of charge, to users who select them. Cloudera also provides outreach and mentorship programmes through Universities across the Globe. It is our mission to train, develop and educate the next generation of IT professionals, including those who have been materially affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.
As an organisation, Cloudera is committed to provide a hybrid model of working in the Post-Covid-19 world - All employees are free to choose their place of work, whether from an office or from home, or a mixture of both. All our offices are operated at a reduced capacity, with inbuilt social distancing measures, and cleaned regularly to avoid contamination.
Cloudera also provides extensive and continually updated resources regarding employees mental health - Examples of this include weekly “Mental Health Awareness” sessions and drop-in facilities with trained mental health professionals.
For our clients, Cloudera provides an enterprise hybrid data platform which allows users to collaborate and work together, in a secure manner, wherever they are in the world, without having to be in the same location. Operating in a hybrid fashion, customers can work from wherever they feel comfortable, without the need for further security or governance controls as these are an inbuilt part of our solution. - Tackling economic inequality

Cloudera provides a Data Platform which can be configured and made available within a matter of minutes - in this way we help small and medium sized organisations to truly realise the value of their data and enable them to compete with large enterprises.
Cloudera also place a significant emphasis on knowledge transfer as part of our services - in this, we seek to train and educate our clients to the point where they become almost completely self-sufficient in the operation of our product lines and are left able to re-use these skills in other areas or in other employment. As part of this, customers are able to work towards a recognised certification in a number of different subject areas which can then be used in the future. - Equal opportunity

https://www.cloudera.com/content/dam/www/legal/Cloudera-Modern-Slavery-and-Human-Trafficking-Statement-FY-2021.pdf
We are also committed to providing a basis for individuals from disadvantaged or minority groups to gain employment, develop new skills and then be promoted to more senior roles. Cloudera’s HR Director (at Board level) now has the stated responsibility to increase further the proportion of under-represented groups (whether that be by age, race, sex etc) to achieve equality and will continue to not only report on progress but to further direct resources where they are needed to ensure this parity. - Wellbeing
